Yeah, I’m gonna be that guy. I totally can’t stand the dude that the one guy supports, but that’s a shit reason to call for a guys firing. If he’s off on social media spouting some bullshit conspiracy theories or propaganda nonstop that’s one thing...but I work with some supporters of the guy and never once thought...”f*** these guys, they don’t deserve employment”. I can still enjoy Jon Voight and James Woods as actors even though I think their politics are shit.
They have valid points on the rest though.

It should be said again that these are rumors and maybe won’t happen and we’ve been burned by this stuff before. It’s less “they don’t deserve employment” but...for this show? Really? All the shows you might possibly cast that guy for and the role he might be taking? Like, it’s not fair to fully judge the guy for it but...it just feels like a really bad look. And not even out of diversity, just out of how it comes off for people who want to find out more about the actor. Again, for all we know, they could pass him for someone else but even if they didn’t intend that way...it really comes off that way. |
