I mean they don't even really need to mention it. They've blatantly changed actors multiple times in the franchise as it is. Rhodey being recast was met in-universe with a “yes, it’s me” moment, so they can do the same with a potential Shuri recast. There'll be a "Do something with your hair" comment and then move on. They've recasted bigger roles so why not.

I sort of have this feeling, and it also all depends on how they deal with Carano going forward, that they're going to have her put out a statement of some kind saying how much she regrets the whole thing and she'll go on a social media silence for a bit and not so much come out of it smelling like roses but at least in a state where she could be rehabbed in terms of PR.
Like, for all I know, she could be recast but there's a part of me that feels like that'll be too much of a headache along with everything else relating to new projects Disney are doing. At the very least, her role will probably be downgraded and they'll hope there's a chance of her coming back and being a bigger MCU presence because of how young she is. I could be wrong and part of it is cynicism of the entertainment industry but still.
The bigger shame is that it's not just this project it's affecting but the Small Axe series Steve McQueen directed for the BBC and Amazon where she's in one of the episodes. Which, even looking at the synposis, seems super ironic after all this.

"Where is Shuri?"
"Here I am."
Different actor, off to the races.

I don't think they replace her, I think they just lessen the shit out of her role Disney isn't immune to replacing people but I think the outpour on her would have to be huge for them to make that move and fire her

Did she delete the tweet? In looking now, I just see what looks like an explanation. Look, I understand being a big apprehensive about a new vaccine. Hell, I'm a little.... but to just outright condemn vaccination is just stupid, IMO. I'm not sure what the transphobia is about, but there is no reason for that at all, IMO. Everything's still up, including her liking comments about her being re-cast and cancelling BP2.

The transphobia really has no excuse and is horrific timing, coming days after Elliot Page coming out as transgender. I get your sentiment, but there is never really good timing to be a bigot.

I don't get why Shuri necessarily has to be the next Panther other than the fact she was temporarily one in the comics.

She's not it was just the obvious choice as she was a fan favorite character with comic history as the Black Panther... and being the sister of T'challa makes the transition need the least setup.

How are we going to see the other Black Panther characters again? as part of a closing credits Disney says goodbye to Spider Man singalong? In cameos in other MCU phase 4 movies?

Yeah, that film is the highest-grossing single-character Marvel movie ever and stayed in some places until the end of that year off of what can only be described as pure Black energy so there's zero chance of that movie not happening.

Yeah, for those who don't know how the Black Panther persona works, it goes to the ruler of Wakanda. So if, in story they aren't going to replace Chadwick Boseman with another actor, the mantle goes to her. Of course they could say in story that they both died together or something I guess.

As others have said there's no way this movie is getting cancelled, but I also want to point out your "goodbye to Spider-Man" joke. The likelihood of Marvel and Sony stopping working together on Spider-Man as long as Tom Holland is pretty slim too. They had a falling out for like a week or two and then renegotiated. They both know Spider-Man in the MCU is beneficial to them both.
