The two bridge levels in Crash Bandicoot. There is absolutely no fun to be had from either of them and the N. Sane Trilogy actually made them worse with the new physics.

It is more a sequence than the entire stage but going to this stage knowing this is coming f*** the stage. "Jump! Jump! Slide! Slide!" I absolutely love MM8, if only for Dr. Light's "I'm drunk and give no fahks" VA. "You must wecovuh all duh enuhjee immediately wuh-MEGAMAN!"

That one castle level in Super Mario Bros. where it's an endless loop until you figure out the right path to take to end the loop.

The favela level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the higher difficulty settings kicks my ass every time. That one castle level in Super Mario Bros. where it's an endless loop until you figure out the right path to take to end the loop. I hadn't thought about that level in at least 15 years until you posted about it. f*** that level.

The Bunker in GoldenEye where you have to guide Natalya to the computer room. She of course can't help but throw herself into a volley of gunfire every time. Oh God Natalya was irritating in any level she was in BITCH STOP RUNNING INTO THE FIREFIGHT!

Not quite a level, but in Breath of Fire 3, there was a part in the game where you had to travel through a desert. After walking a while, you had to use a limited amount of water to prevent the max HP of the party from getting temporarily getting lowered. The whole journey takes a while, too, and all you got is instructions on what direction you had to go. Back then, my grasp of my second language of English wasn't as good as what I know in the present, so there was a bit of difficulty on following the instructions.
Also, the bit in Metal Gear Solid where Snake has to endure Ocelot's electric torture. Before and now, I'll never be able to save Meryl.

Oh God Natalya was irritating in any level she was in BITCH STOP RUNNING INTO THE FIREFIGHT! That's what most of the Skyrim NPCs do when dragons attack the towns, and it's just as annoying because then I have to reload the save or go inside a building before I lose shopkeepers/quest givers.

That's what most of the Skyrim NPCs do when dragons attack the towns, and it's just as annoying because then I have to reload the save or go inside a building before I lose shopkeepers/quest givers. It's because of that issue I didn't trigger the arrival of dragons until I'd completed almost all of the NPC quests. Skyrim's already enough of a pain when it comes to having to reload because of a crash, don't need the additional aggravation of a valuable NPC getting offed in a random encounter.

Looking back, it didn't take me that long to figure out that you weren't supposed to free her at the very beginning of the mission. It was more customary to just clear the entire bunker and then go back and free her. I wonder how many people had this problem. It wasn't as bad in the later ones like the jungle because the AI made her proficient with a revolver.

The Mary Jane levels on Spider-Man for the ps4 I forgot about that nightmare. Not a bad idea but def tedious when you go from doing all the crazy shit with Spider-Man to Mary Jane Watson having to stealth sneak for 10 mins

The level in SMB3 where the sun chases you. It’s not hard. Just pisses me off. The sun level gave me anxiety as a kid lol as did any level where something was chasing you, so most fortresses. The only ones I still hate/dread to this day are the ones with Boss Bass, the giant fish that could eat you even if you were fully powered up. The only time you'll ever see me using the cloud items on the map screen.

Oh, how did I forget about this game? Especially Gambit's first level: (Never made it to his second one.) A LOT of that game was frustrating. And guess what? Storm = Another difficult swimming level! Self-scrolling SMB3 levels, especially when it was at like twice the normal speed when you get to World 8. And not unlike the Sun levels in that game...ANY TIME Lakitu shows up in SMB1. Then there's any moment you have to be faced with a Phanto in SMB2 (US version). Inexperienced Gaplus players would bite it during the first backwards scrolling level (after the challenging stage, it's when the star field scrolls the other way, that spooky music intro plays, and you have to deal with formation after formation of aliens flying by before it finally settles and they take their usual formation atop the screen) Until you got the timing down, the blocks and spears in level 4 of Double Dragon 1.

The stage on the moon in Majora's Mask where you have to do it as Goron Link. f***. Me. Played and finished Majora for the first time ever last week. Legit thought I was going just not be able to do it at the final hurdle. Goron dungeon is twitchy as all hell. Finally got through it and then faced the god damn Zora mini-dungeon. Could not time the flop at all. Like, I get that everyone says the Fierce Deity's mask makes the boss too much of joke but the game just offsets the difficulty into the Goron and Zora mini-dungeons.
