adding Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton from Battle Ground 2017 and Hogan/Warrior 2 to the contenders Not actually the main event of Halloween Havoc. Most hyped, sure, but the main event of that show, surprisingly enough given the egos of Hogan and Warrior, was Goldberg Vs DDP in a legit great match.

Another vote for Sting/Hardy. When Sting Just has to hold someone on the ground for 3 seconds just so they can get out unscathed, I can’t see much worse than that.

i think by default its Halloween Havoc '98. if you count Goldberg/DDP as the main event of the actual ppv, then it's the automatically the worst because during the live ppv the match was cut off and fans couldn't see it, so it was an incomplete match. there have been a lot of crappy ppv main events, but with them at least you got to see the finish. and if you don't count Goldberg/DDP as the main event of the actual ppv, that makes the main event the infamous Hogan/Warrior match

Bash at the Beach 1998's main event of Hogan and Rodman vs. DDP and Karl Malone was pretty god damn bad, with the team of barely mobile Hulk Hogan, inebriated Dennis Rodman, first match ever Karl Malone, and DDP (who might be the only person in the match competent to wrestle this long) going over 20 minutes.

I'll go with Sting/Hogan at Starrcade. It was a massive letdown with the botched count/creative control power play by Hogan. They had a license to print money with that angle and essentially gave a big middle finger to the crowd who followed the angle for the past 18 months.

Damn...typing that out I can see what a test it was to be a mid 90s WWF fan.

Roman Reigns vs HHH at WrestleMania 32 I would say that without hesitation Undertaker vs Roman Reigns the next year was far worse.
Sure, Triple H wrestled his "BIGGEST BADASS EVVURR-AH!" style and ate up Roman, but at least Trips carried his weight. The Deadman looked like shit out there and Roman had ZERO chance of getting that match over or carrying taker to a half decent match.

I would argue this would count because almost everyone watching on PPV lost their feed before DDP-Goldberg started, due to WCW deciding to go long without telling the cable providers. So for most people, THIS atrocity became the lasting impression of the show. It's also the front cover of the VHS release, so yeah.

Jesus Christ, and I saw 3 or 4 out of those 5. No wonder I stopped watching until January '99.

I'd say both of those aren't good, but Triple H vs Steiner was even more embarrassing, with both guys working hurt and having zero ring chemistry, and the infamous "stumble bomb" by Steiner.

Probably not the worst.... but the first one that popped into my head was John Cena vs The Miz at WM27.

Not the worst in-ring, but storyline-wise, might be Wrestlemania 2000.
A McMahon has to be in every corner. Foley is retired in the Cell, but only for a few weeks. Big Show is there. Vince turns on Rock. Triple H is the first heel to win at Mania.
Just...meh. They did make up for it at Backlash though, which should have been 2000's main event all along.
