Literally just finished a playthrough of the remaster. And I have everything apart from 3 Joker teeth that I could not find in the mansion.

I absolutely love how claustrophobic the game is. Later games got bigger, but as a result the map felt a lot more lifeless. Having it all in a confined space was a terrific idea. In City and onward, a lot of times you had the ability to just swoop to another building and let the heat die down if the bad guys started getting the upper hand. In Asylum, you were locked in that room with them until either you or they were done. Way more intense that way. Not to mention that in Asylum you didn't have smoke pellets either even when you ran into trouble with the dudes with guns. At least in most of the predator rooms you had your gargoyle friends. Except for the one time they were rigged with explosives. That was harsh.

Absolutely love the game, and it is weird how a Batman game of all things wound up leaving fingerprints on a lot of the medium in the years since. Honestly makes me sort of tempted to rush replaying it for the occasion given it's not exactly a long game to start with. Though while I think it's the best game in the series, one place where the sequels definitely improved on it is the boss fights. I dunno which one's my favorite, the one where you throw a Batarang at someone charging you, the one where you throw a Batarang at someone charging you, the one where you walk around in silence for ages, the one where you throw a Batarang at someone charging you, or Poison Ivy. You forgot the final boss: the one where you throw a Batarang at someone charging you after you do the one where you throw a Batarang at someone charging you.

What a coincidence, I just watched The Completionist's review of that 2 days ago. Such an amazing game. They really had something with this series.
