Is it just me or is Naito/White too big of a match for this lesser tour? I figured they would do Naito/Taichi for the IC on this tour.

I was expecting them to hold off White/Naito II for WK’s first night, but they could also do the title change here. That would leave Naito with nothing, then he could collect himself and win gold on back-to-back nights.
Also, for those that are trying to avoid J-Cup spoilers like me, there’s a slight spoiler in both the YL Cup and Destruction announcements on the official site. Neither are big, but notable. It would probably be wiser just to not visit wrestling sites in general.

I hadn't considered White winning at that show. If he did why would Naito even get the rematch at the Dome given that he would be 0-2 against the guy. But maybe that's what they will do. The question to me is what happens to the IWGP and IC losers on the 2nd night at WK? Let's say Naito beats White at WK and Okada beats Ibushi. Does that mean Ibushi/White is on night 2 as a consolation prize/possible #1 contender match?

You beat me to it: all LIJ fans need to brace themselves, because I think we're heading for Naito hitting his nadir and then getting built back up for WK. If he loses to White then he has no choice but to actively pursue the IC title as part of the chase for his larger goal, again playing into the whole "Naito evolves from being outright violent to just being kind of tsundere about the white belt" progression. The main fear some people will have, though, is that they'll get the belt off Naito so he can do something like a Moxley rematch at WK, instead, but with the whole two-night plan and Ibushi so far angling for being in title matches on both shows, I don't think they'd leave Naito out of that narrative.

Yeah, if you don't have Naito in the 2 night plan, you don't have a 2 night plan at all. No one else has a story that makes it make any more sense beyond "Ibushi is kayfabe kind of a dumbass thrill junkie", given Okada would like to shut Naito up, but otherwise really has no motivation to go along with this if he wins night one. Like, sure, he could get the IC title, but he's expressed no real interest in that before, why start now? Speaking of Okada, today is the 15th anniversary of his debut, apparently. Pretty wild 15 year career, especially given he's going to be 32 in November, so it's damn near half his life.

Pretty wild 15 year career, especially given he's going to be 32 in November, so it's damn near half his life. Yeah, the "two title matches in two nights"/"IC vs. Heavyweight" narrative only fully works for Naito (his ultimate redemption) and White (winning everything would solidify his "new era"), so from a narrative standpoint you could have White win at Destruction, give Naito a major win or two between now and January, and then have their blowoff be on 1/4. Said it before, but Okada's only angle for it would be "I'm already the best, but now I'll be the best ever", and like you say Kota's is basically "IDGAF, I just wanna try it", hence why it makes more sense to have those two clash on night one. Getting ahead of ourselves, of course, there's still a lot of different ways things can go, but yeah, again, it's just a friendly warning to brace ourselves for Naito getting chumped out one more time before the official WK build begins.

Shingo/Goto part 2 already, eh? I’m down for those two hossing the hell out of one another any time, but I wonder if this one’s going to have anything hanging over it, like jockeying for a potential WK spot or a title shot of some kind. They had some sweet chemistry at the G1 Final, so I won’t be shocked if Goto wins to set up a rubber match, but Shingo looking strong as hell going into WK season wouldn’t be surprising, either.

I expect White to win the belt as well and then Naito wins the belt back at WK 14, leading him to the World title match on night 2. As far as J-cup spoilers, it got ruined for me when I watched Royal Quest. I don't understand why they are waiting so long to upload the Super-J cup. Also, gotta feel bad for Taichi who could potentially lose two title shots because the champions lost their belts before he could face them.

I would say the winner is in line for a NEVER title match. Agree about looking forward to this one and it will be nice to see them get more time.
