Anthem is being dicks about this
Did Kross go about this the wrong way? Yes, he should have kept it private in my opinion but he also isn't wrong in asking for more money nor is Anthem wrong for saying nah you signed a contract. However, the way they are acting now is full on sour apples. It is facts that his GF was making no money with Impact and she also complained and they let her go. If they aren't going to use him and be this petty they might as well let him go. What type of example setting is this? All it does is make future wrestlers look at you funny. You had no problem lowballing him but giving him main event time but when he asked for more money to accommodate that place on the card you not only balk, you take him off the card and remove his gear
He shouldn't have to publicly profile his family issues. They have zero reasons to keep him on the roster but only to make an example out of him which is basically bullshit. WWE can tell you to go home but at least you're making money and letting your body recover for whatever the next journey is. Impact is giving him scraps and saying live off that and also be an example for anyone who talks against us

You're not WWE, you don't have any kind of financial motivation to keep a guy who doesn't want to be there except to prove a point, a point that's hokey in the first place.

They seem to have forgotten that they are supposed to be a super indy. Doing this really has no benefit and it just makes them look bad. If you want the guy to be a cornerstone and mainstay with the company than pay him, otherwise let him go.

Neither side looks great here. I'd like to know the figures/term of Kross's deal honestly and what he was asking for than a vague request for 6 figures (which depending on what he was asking for ain't happening).
I somewhat get the feeling Kross got an offer from WWE or AEW and wants to go there but since he's in a 3 year deal with Impact he's trying to get out of it or try to force Impact to match whatever offer he was given.
Personally if I was Impact I'd just release him. After a cool debut it doesn't seem like he was ever viewed as a major player as even when involved in a main event he was a side character. While I get and understand not wanting to meet contract demands (especially if the raise request is a huge jump) but you have to chose your battles. You've got a good thing going with the roster, and actually have the deepest roster you've had in a LONG time. No need to lose good will with talent

oh f*** we can't rip off WWE's angles anymore, better rip off their cruelty Now you're just being an asshole. Kross signed the contract and wants a raise because of AEW. Love the guy and he deserves more cash but he signed on the dotted line. Gotta fulfill that contract first.

I get that you want to make your deals mean something and I get that he signed a 3 year deal but if, as mentioned before, Brian Cage asked for a payrise and you did the same thing, that would at least be you saying "He's our champion but he's not bigger than the company". I don't justify that sort of thing but if you were to do it, people would take it a bit more seriously than keeping Killer Kross locked down.

Love the guy and he deserves more cash but he signed on the dotted line. Gotta fulfill that contract first. He wants fair value. There has been no denial that his contract is not low for a guy they used as much as him. His girl was getting paid low as well and they let her go so that fulfill your contract notion is out the door when Impact has shown to be flexible They're making an example out of him. Plain and simple

I dont understand why both Kross and Scarlett needed to rush and sign a multi-year contract, they shouldve started with PPA and then get a good contract, thats what Jordynne did for example.
Also I wouldnt be surprised if both Kross and Scarlett are being manipulated by KM(he was the Pat Bucks right hand and Ryback bashed him for leaking info about money/contracts), and if you connect the KM/DAmore bickering from months ago, the big Guy mightve said the true.

I do get the feeling both Kross and Scarlett feel they had more bargaining chips to do this as well. Now to be clear I am not saying they are wrong to ask for more money, but I think something or someone got in their ear and made them think their value was higher than it was

This is a really weird hill for Impact to die on. Kross is clearly unhappy and it's probably just best to cut your losses and release him from his contract. If not for his sake, than for the other workers' safety if they ever do decide to use him again in matches.

If Kross isn't used by the Vegas tapings, then they should really just let him go, because the last feud he was in involved Eddie Edwards, which felt like a step down.
Plus, it doesn't look like Kross will be back in the World title scene anytime soon, so there's not really much left for him to do besides that.

Impact are completely in the right in this.
This is why I'd never want to get into business, because f*** being on the right side of an argument resulting in this.

Its simple, Impact are making an example of him and Scarlett. Just because they offer a ton of freedom doesn't mean you try and f*** them over. Kross has also proven to be piss poor at managing money. Knock off the regular trips to Thailand if you are having financial issues. Should have done what others did, work on PPA and then get a good contract. Tessa did the same and now she's bought her first house.
KM (Scarlett's booking agent) gave them both some very bad advice and they are now paying for it, thanks to him.
While wrestlers maybe sympathetic, they obviously don't think he's in the right.

It's an ugly situation with no clearcut face or heel, a rarity for real life wrestling drama. Since he's no longer in their plans or part of any taped angles or material, Impact should let him go at this point, he's probably not going to stroll into AEW or WWE any time soon after this and that's a self inflicted wound.

Impact are wrong here IMO but Kross is not completely without doing wrong himself by doing this publicly BUT I understand he was trying make sure he got one or the other by making it public.
Impact are not using the man so let him go they have no reason to keep him otherwise and it only makes them look bad in the end.
But this is just how it is gonna be from now on with AEW coming around it has basically given most if not all the leverage to the wrestler whether for good or bad.
Companies will now want to lock down their rosters and in turn wrestlers are gonna want higher pay because they know they can negotiate with other wealthier companies and in turn companies will wanna lock down talents to really long comitments.
it is that preverbial double edged sword.

Like, say they let him out of his contract. Is a guy they weren't even using going to hurt their ratings? Is he going to go to another place and put a dent in their business? Like, if every employee made the same amount of money and had the same deals, precedent would be vital, but they don't. Moose isn't making the same money as Blanchard, who isn't working the same schedule as Elgin, who isn't going to have the same promises made to him that they'd be giving Cage. It's already a whole bunch of special cases due to the nature of wrestling. Letting Kloss out would mean they let Kloss out, not that every person suddenly can just bail, because they already have got to be aware of the fact not every contract is created equal in a situation like this.

He doesn't want to be there and they're choosing to make an example of him by not using him; just tear up the contract already and use the money on someone else.
