I can't find an originating source or an actual article on it - if someone can find one lemme know and I'll add it to the OP - but all over Twitter at the moment is word about how a bunch of Funimation audio leaked with a lot of sexual and other off-color jokes in outtakes.
Naturally the general response is, "You do this but you fired Vic?!" because people are morons.

Funimation frequently do gag takes. There's a bunch of them on YouTube and the Fullmetal Alchemist dvds even included them. So this is something they've been doing for a long time and it's perfectly harmless. You'd have to be a real prude to have a problem with it. Sounds more to me like Vic's bizarre cultus looking for straws to grasp at than anything else.

Haven't heard it, but my kneejerk reaction to performers doing something like that in their downtime is that they likely did it knowing who their audience was - mostly like, at least in this case, their friends and peers. There are times I'm with my friends and we'll say some absolutely vile things, but the idea is that we know one another, know that we don't actually believe the things we're saying, and we're making the joke about people who actually do believe offensive things about others and how stupid they sound. I'd still hate audio of something like that to leak out, since I can't blame someone for assuming the worst.
Again, though, haven't heard it so can't say much for sure, but I'm not at all stunned to see the weird fanboys rallying around a notorious groper and trying to use this as some kind of warped justification for their campaign.

Has it ever occured to those dumbasses that it’s possible to think these leaked outtakes are bad and that Vic is a piece of shit?

That always blows my mind; people feel someone's been a jerk in the public sphere, trolls who disagree dig up some kind of dirt on someone else and pretend it's a chess move, like "HA! Let's see how you react now that your precious <insert whoever here> has ALSO done something awful!" The end result is sometimes "the example you just gave is ridiculous" (e.g. the James Gunn incident where he was punished for things he had already apologized for years earlier), but mostly it's people saying "Oh, yeah, that guy's a jerk too, good to know."

The people rallying around Vic Mignogna are the worst kind of internet troglodytes with a persecution complex as wide as a football field.

It is a hilariously bad faith way of trying to take people down a peg, because there is a belief in some quarters that anyone displaying ethics is lying about it. It's one of the more depressing aspects of life at present.

Outtake reels are blue as hell. The thing is that these gags are all made with everyone involved consenting and having a good time. That's the difference between those and Vic's harassment.
If people can't tell the difference between blue comedy where all involved are in on the joke, and actual harassment, we've got some problems.

It is a damning indictment on those who continue to cape or stan or whatever for a mediocre voice actor who's a legit scumbag, to the point that they pull this shit off.

Phoenxi Wright has a whole gag take about the accused's wife having tons a dildos and later tripping on said dildos.

It is a hilariously bad faith way of trying to take people down a peg, because there is a belief in some quarters that anyone displaying ethics is lying about it. It's one of the more depressing aspects of life at present. I think you nailed it; we live in a media environment, for example, that treats life or death political issues (not getting into specifics, here) like sports coverage, and in turn people treat serious social, economic, and political issues like they're just watching ESPN and rooting for "their side to win", no matter what. I teach government and politics, and "horse race coverage" and that whole style of news reporting drives me up the damn wall. In such a setting, principles mean nothing, only "winning", or at least a warped, perverted version of that word, matters. That can be fine in sports; sports are an area of life where it's fun to be illogical and unreasonable, since so long as you're not hurting anybody then there are no serious consequences from it. But issues like these? They mean something, and they can mean, again, life or death for some people. So when principles don't matter, it all turns into "nothing really matters except my 'side' looking better; ethics are pointless and you're a liar if you say you have them; after all, I don't have them, so how could anyone else?" I hate to mention it since there've been so many episodes I've loved over the years, but shows and outlets like South Park have contributed way too much to this perspective over the years, that anyone who legitimately cares about anything is either lying to mask ulterior motives or is just an idiot to be ignored, and not somebody with, let's say, actual life experiences that shape their world view. So, like, say info came out about certain celebrities being involved with Jeffrey Epstein's escapades; I'm sure there'll be some trying to play the "ah-HA! YOUR beloved (whoever) isn't so pure, are they?! Now you can't besmirch MY favorite celebrity who's accused of something similar!" card, all while 99% of people would hear the news of whoever got outed as being in on Epstein's awfulness and say "wow, what a scumbag."

Earlier this year we got some WWF outtakes in '84 with Mean Gene and pals working Blue.

These leaks are from 2002 and are almost old enough to f***.
Jokes aside, yes the outtakes are gross but this is entirely Mignona stans trying to get the VAs fired because of spite. If the shoe was on the other foot and Vic wasn't in shit then they'd absolutely be defending the clips and calling people complaining SJW's. It's literally the same thing that the gorilla cum guy did with James Gunn.

Didn’t realize when I woke up today that this would be the day I heard clips of Gohan f***ing his own mother and then have Goku calling him multiple variations of a gay slur.
I would have went back to sleep if I had known.
