Just heard everything that was leaked and then found out that it's from 2001-2002, yo.
I'll be the first to say that back then I was saying some foul stuff. It was a different time, a far different time. That isn't to say that that stuff is "cool", it was just way more acceptable than now. I mean Jerry Lawler was saying that shit on WWE television back then.

Are VAs goofing off between takes 17 years ago really news? Who cares... It's only news because the Vic Mignonga stans are now realising that Vic is gonna lose his lawsuit and are trying to take down a few high ranking Funimation people as payback. The clips are honestly pretty offensive & the VAs should come out and apologize for dropping slurs but Vic & his fans are banging on about how he only got fired for an off-colour joke so how come a high ranking VA like Sabat can get away with this. Like if this was from a couple of years ago then yeah I'd be super up in arms but this is from 2002. Casual homophobia and using gay slurs was sadly still pretty accepted in the mainstream until earlier this decade and it's pretty f***ed.

A lot of them still seem to be 100% convinced that he has this won. Even though he's suing for damages while outright saying that he can't show where it's actually done any damage to him.

He's also trying to win a defamation case that requires, by law, to establish beyond reasonable doubt that not only are the things said about him false, but that the people he is suing knew them for a fact to be false (actual malice). That is almost literally impossible at the best of times, but even moreso when you have a reputation that goes back more than a decade, and when your own lawsuit is how most people even found out you got fired as a teacher for what was also probably the same thing your later reputation became. He is so, so much worse off for having filed this lawsuit. The guy who raised the money for his legal fund, thus meaning he pretty much had to file the case, has done so much more damage to Vic's reputation than anything Monica Rial or others could have ever hoped to do.

The thing that really gets me is, Vic participated in the same outtakes thing! Like we know he was part of the FMA:B bloopers(and let’s be real, even though the specify the material in the officially released blooper reel is unrated, they undoubtedly didn’t include ALL the bloopers they did for the show, just the ones they felt they could get away with publicly revealing), and he was part of Ghost Stories’ dub too!
He did this exact same shit!

Oh god this has somehow gotten even stupider, because Vic’s lawyers’ filing to respond to the request to dismiss the case has been set free, it’s a 1158 page beast of nonsense but it starts off by...trying to justify Vic’s actions because apparently the work environment at FUNi has been “amorous and sexually-charged” for years, because FUNi licenses raunchy comedy shows like Panty & Stocking and Prison School. I....I’m at a loss for words here. What moldy box of Cracker Jacks did these clown shoe-wearing LOLyers spontaneously germinate from?

Are these people legitimately fans of Vic’s work in anime? Or are they just stanning for him so hard because he’s a scumbag?

Vic's done a lot of good work in cultivating his little cult of personality over the years, and being a scumbag to women and gay people gets him points from a certain crowd, too.
And wait, the outtakes with the gay slurs were from the early 2000's? Holy shit lmao. Talk about desperation. Not that it excuses it, but it was way more normalized back then. To the point where an openly gay friend of mine used "f**" constantly and not in a word reclamation sort of way.

Shimoneta being a sexual comedy totally means it's supporting sexual harassment, despite the fact it has the main character being clearly disturbed by being sexually harassed. That's just logic.
