This came up on my Facebook feed: I’d be interested in such a list though with 500 I think there’d be a ton of no name guys.

I'd love to see that just to see where all some guys came from. Hell I'd love to see a comprehensive "family tree" for all notable trainers.

I'd love to see that just to see where all some guys came from. Hell I'd love to see a comprehensive "family tree" for all notable trainers. The biggest problem with that is figuring out exactly what constitutes training. HBK "trained" Daniel Bryan, Brian Kendrick and others. But he didn't, it was just his school. Others trained them, he was barely there. Chris Adams is credited with training Steve Austin, but Austin freely admits that Adams was pretty much useless at that point. He basically learned on the job working with the others.

Gotta be honest. I was half-expecting this would involve the McElroys.

I would think, like any lineage, you include even situations like the ones you are describing as "training" since in this case more connections make for a more interesting map with less dead ends. Since this isn't determining which inbred noble rules which far flung land, you can afford to be a bit loose. But if you want to promote accuracy, you could have a different term used from the connection in situations where someone took the money and didn't give quality or any training. Gotta be honest. I was half-expecting this would involve the McElroys. I had a nice little joke all planned to post when I saw the thread title, but then the thread had like an actual topic and consideration.

Gotta be honest. I was half-expecting this would involve the McElroys. It's not like they're irrelevant. The Final Pam vs. Turbovicki grudge match is breathtaking.
