So Dusty Rhodes had similar storylines in 1986 and 1990. He alligned himself with a big woman around the new year, who turned on him in the late summer. Babydoll and Sapphire.
Who was better? Who had better chemistry, who was better. Well I thought Babydoll had great chemistry with Dusty, though really her great chemistry with Dusty when they were enemies. Not so much allies. She was better as a heel.
Still I might lean towards Babydoll, two reasons, first of all 1986 Dusty over 1990 Dusty by a mile. And while I never thought Babydoll was a great talker, compared to Sapphire, she is Dusty, Flair, or Piper.
They both had good back story to get to the point, Sapphire as a Dusty fan, Babydoll in the middle of this year long feud between Dusty and Tully that included the valet for 30 days which still makes me uncomfortable to watch, Dusty suppose to be the face, still treating a human being like slave, not very face like.

Sapphire, because her betrayal made more sense.

Sapphire alway seemed to me had zero charisma or presence so Baby Doll wins for me

Someone should’ve taken them to the cleaners.

I loved Dusty with Sapphire.
On a somewhat related note, the commentary by Jesse at their WM6 match against Macho and Sherri is a riot. Totally wouldn't fly these days, of course.
