Have you played Metal Gear Solid? If yes then that's were you heard the score from before because the score for that game was heavily plagiarized. I think you meant the other way around (MGS plagiarized various properties), unless you're subscribed to the belief that Kojima is a time traveler... I said that the score was plagiarized. As in the people who made it ripped it off. It's why you don't the classic MGS theme after MGS3.

Virtually everyone turned down the Jack Traven part (according to IMDB) from Bruce Willis (who felt it was too similar to Die Hard) I'm surprised he didn't take it, to be honest. Both Die Hard movies at that point had been another script that got reworked into Die Hard (with the first Die Hard movie originally being Commando 2), and very little would've needed changing to make Speed the third Die Hard movie. Then again, had that happened we'd have never have gotten Die Hard with a Vengeance, and the world is better off with both that and Speed.

"Speed" was great.
The sequel "Slow" was terrible.

I dunno. I am very happy they went with Keanu and Sandra Bullock for it. Those two had such chemistry in it. I think she even gives him the equivalent of the Maryse to Miz eyes at one point. If they stumbled into that pairing they lucked out hard.

It took you 25 years to see Speed? God damn. It's been a busy quarter-century.

Additionally, I did some research and the following films' trailers all also used the 'Speed' score: • Assassins (1995) - Theatrical Trailer • Braveheart (1995) - Theatrical Trailer • Chain Reaction (1996) - Theatrical Trailer • Daylight (1996) - Theatrical Trailer • Elizabeth (1998) - Theatrical Trailer • Independence Day (1996) - Theatrical Trailer • Money Train (1995) - Theatrical Trailer • Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) - Theatrical Traile

A great film, endlessly watchable.
Trivia note - the scene with the bus hitting the pram was improvised. A stagehand pushed it out in front of them, Sandra Bullock had no idea it was going to happen and consequently her reaction is genuine.

Probably my favorite Keanu movie without "Wick" or "Matrix" in the title.

Speed and True Lies came out at almost the same time. I remember True Lies getting the majority of the attention and praise from both critics and fans, but I've always thought Speed was a much better movie.

If they stumbled into that pairing they lucked out hard. Ellen Degenres was originally attached to that role too. She and Keanu even talked about it on her talk show when she jokingly said that Sandra Bullock owed Ellen for her career. To your chemistry point, they've both admitted to being legitimately attracted to each other while filming that movie.

True Lies is a far different film than Speed. I enjoy both but I think Speed has a clearer focus on what it's trying to do. Wonder why we never got a sequel to True Lies that was hinted at in the final scene now that Jamie Lee Curtis is part of Arnold's spy group?

They were apparently planning on a True Lies 2 in 2001, but 9/11 forced it to be scrapped.
