The part in parentheses is the challenge. What did you record that you always watched? Allowing PPVs and Coliseum Videos, etc. is too easy, so here we are.

Events that I taped off TV, like the SummerSlam Spectacular, Survivor Series Showdown, and the WCW All-Nighter.
Now here’s the weird part: When I got older, sometimes I would watch them not for the wrestling, but for the ad breaks! Seeing those early and mid-90s commercials gives me a massive nostalgia rush.

These, seeing as how it was pre-internet days, at least in my household, it wasn't very easy to find most of the matches they showed on these.

On the subject of wearing out a VHS tape, it's difficult to actually do. With a functional VCR and storing them properly, even with watching the tape repeatedly, they generally hold up.
The funny thing is that only recently, some people who "transferred all my VHS tapes to DVD-R and got rid of the tapes" are beginning to realize that disc rot is a thing, and a lot of those discs aren't readable anymore, yet the tapes would still be playable. Live and learn! I still have all of my tapes.

Here's mine:
WCWSN episode just reviewed over at the BOD. With the Alabama singer as a special guest. I was obsessed especially with the Rick Rude interview...blew my mind at the time that they mentioned the WWF (though anyone who owned SummerSlam '90 at least could tell you he was lying). Then you had women calling each other sluts, albeit bleeped out.
Wrestling Challenge ep. from 1989, with the Rockers vs. Rougeaus singing angle. Another from 1990, main evented by Rhodes vs. Martel. I just know I kept rewinding the one commercial break that had the Andre the Giant Honeycomb ad, plus one of Ultimate Warrior's promos leading up to WM6. He was firmly in whisper/mumble/yell mode starting around this time, and started with his back to the camera, then as he turned around he said something I have not been able to decipher in nearly 30 years.
World Championship Wrestling episode from 1989...the one with Terry Funk bringing out a fake Ric Flair.
If we are counting PPVs, Halloween Havoc '92....the Paul E./Madusa segment.
Numerous SNMEs.
The Prime Time where Berzerker throws Jamison off the roof.
My copy off of HBO of the movie Body Slam.
Superstars where Undertaker turned face.

The WCW All-Nighters, WCW's Clash 23 (with Austin/Pillman vs. Flair/Anderson), the Raw in 1997 where ECW invaded the Manhattan Center, a ton of Nitros in 1998 when Jericho's character work was awesome and made Dean Malenko one of the biggest faces in the company, and the March 30, 1998 Raw that was a huge reset for the WWF: Austin received a new title belt after beating Shawn Michaels and proceeded to stun Vince McMahon, Sean Waltman showed up and helped Triple H and Chyna keep DX going with the New Age Outlaws, and the Nation turned on Ron Simmons and went with The Rock as their leader.

WCW Worldwide from March 93 where the Hollywood Blondes won the tag belts from Steamboat and Douglas.

A terrible goddamn Clash Of The Champions where El Gigante wins a battle royal, and Arn Anderson clobbered Bill Kazmire with a bodybuilder bendy bar thing. Cactus Jack debuted on this show, yet these are the first two things I remember.

The clash of champions where Cactus Jack and Van hammer fight out into the parking lot and I think Abby shows up and cracks Hammer. When I was in high school me and my buddy thought it was the greatest thing. And watched it numerous times.

ANd I think that is more cause they sat in a hot room for almost a year. But for VHS.... That night on UWF tv were every title seemed to change hands. I watched that episode over and over and over.

My folks had Wrestlemania 7 and Summerslam 90 recorded on VHS. I watched both shows repeatedly for years.

I totally forgot about the WCW All Nighters but I did have the first one on VHS. The matches were a few years before my interest in wrestling so it seemed like forever ago but it was still enjoyable to see such quality matches for free. The Clashes were a big favorite of mine considering the show length and match quality. There were very few jobber matches, if any. I was more of a WWF fan but the Clashes were one time when WCW had WWF beat to me.

OK this was an obsession-forming Clash, only for the days after when I was trying to see if Van Hammer really was the Ultimate Warrior with a new name ;-)
