When would you have given Arn a run with the wcw world title? I would have had him defeat Barry Windham at Slambboree 93

Arn shouldn't have been World Champion. He had the career he should have, it was just cut a little short.

I would have given a really quick run in the early 90's. Have him defeat Sting with some sort of Dangerous Alliance shenanigans and then either lose it to Vader as a transitional champion or have Sting regain it at a later date.
Either that or give him the NWA title, but WCW wasn't preocupied with that by then.

Absolutely 100% not. Not everyone is meant to be a World Champion. Putting the title on the guy who was always the #4 member of the Horsemen would be ridiculous.

He had average looks and average carpentry skills, it wasn’t meant to be.

Not everyone who is over should be world champion. The WWE did it in the 00:s, putting a world title on anyone that got over and all it did was hollow out the midcard and hive them former WWE champion jobbers.
Arn was a midcard/tag guy, he didn't have the it factor to be more than that, not in the era he was active in. Had he come around 10 or 20 years prior, he would have gotten something, purely because he looked tough, but in the 80s and 90s there were always better options.

I think after he beat Flair those couple times when they feuded shortly, instead of reforming the Horseman so quickly, have Arn ascend to world title level, win it for a short run, which would feed into the storyline of Flair being so desperate to be champion again he was turning against his friends. It would have driven Flair crazy and then Arn could've dropped the title in any number of ways.

Arn had the talent to be a World champion for at least a transitional run, but being in Flair's shadow was always going to be difficult to overcome in the 80's. If Ric had stayed in the WWF another 6-12 months, it wouldn't have surprised me to see Arn in a program with Barry Windham where he finally won the NWA World title in 1993. After the Sid fight, between Hogan coming in and Arn's injuries catching up to him, it just wasn't meant to be.

I understand the sentiment, but I hate that the knee-jerk reaction is always "if ____ got a title reign, everyone may as well get one". That's not what anyone is suggesting, and one more champion isn't a "well, better hang it up, everyone gets one".
That said, I'm sure Arn would have done a fine job and all, but I've come around to thinking that he had the career he ought to have. It just never would have been quite the right time for it. Maybe have a face lose it to him, so that you have the tension of Arn as champion, but Ric's in charge of the Horsemen still, so you have that storyline to tell, but even then, that only works if you turn one of them face, and I don't think that'd have ultimately been a great move, either.

Territory champ maybe, but not a nationwide company champion.

I'd say no, though I will say there have been a few WWE games where he's been my champ on one of the old school shows I made.

AA is a great example of how you can be a big star in pro wrestling and not be a world champion, or even a main eventer. I wish that was more understood today.

Wasn’t the guy for it. He made the mid card & tag titles a bigger deal when he had them.
