Two very different kinds of "monster" wrestlers, Abdullah the Butcher and Nikita Koloff famously never worked a WWF ring their entire careers. But there were tons (no pun intended) of "monster" workers bouncing around the other promotions that never did so either.
I've always been a bit surprised, kinda sorta, that neither member of the Zambuie Express ever got a shot. I'm definitely not surprised Teijo Khan was never hired, though. Jeep Swenson seemed like a natural for WWF after his World Class run, but it never happened.

He got a little mini-run, as a part of the whole "Black Saturday" debacle, but he was never pushed.

Jardine got his shots in the 1970s, albeit without the mask, as he was Mil Mascaras' first MSG opponent.

He had a short run against Bruno. Vince Sr even gave him the name Bruiser Brody.

Brody challenged Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF title.

Oh, thought of one. I know he was just winding down as a talent when Vince was ramping things up, but did Ox Baker ever have a New York run?

Angel of Death Colonel DeBeers Bad Leroy Brown DeBeers worked two tapings (four matches) in '83 as the Polish Prince. Not sure I'd consider him a monster, but I can see the argument. Leroy was a member of the Zambuie Express I mentioned earlier and yeah, how neither he nor Ray Candy/Kareem Muhammad never even got a try-out, I dunno.

Oh, thought of one. I know he was just winding down as a talent when Vince was ramping things up, but did Ox Baker ever have a New York run? No full run, but he was brought in for three squash matches on the March 20, 1980 tapings. He was so shot, Vince Sr decided not to bring him back after that.

The first 2 that popped in my head when I read the title of the thread were Abdullah and Brody. I know Kamala was there but it's kind of easy to forget that he was. He never had a ppv match or anything. Can't believe he was never at least a SNME challenger for Hogan's title.

Please explain. Shot, not hot. His legs were pretty much gone even by this point, and he was having to use the ropes constantly to keep himself standing.

Kamala was a character that probably did better going from company to company for one year. After a big loss his mystique was usually gone but I think he usually wound up leaving due to pay offs. James Harris, the man, always seemed to think he was shafted by promoters and I think the other wrestler probably enjoyed making him think so.
