I know Disney owns the ones from The Muppet Show, and Sesame Workshop owns the Sesame Street ones, but where do the ones from other works fit in? Who owns the SNL muppets, Dog City, etc?

I believe The Jim Henson Company still owns Fraggle Rock, Mother Goose Stories and Emmett Otter. I would suspect they own Dog City as well (or perhaps one of the other partners own or co-own it still - a bunch of random Henson stuff back in the day had other people involved in regards to production/distribution)

The Jim Henson Company owns "everything else".

Do they still refer to Sesame Street characters as "The Sesame Street Muppets", or did they have to stop calling them "Muppets" when Disney bought the primary Muppet franchise?

I doubt anybody wants to claim they own the SNL Muppets

I recently read the Muppet Wiki's page on this and the answer is kinda vague there too.
