I kinda like Savio, but no one needs to see him work four times in one night.

I kinda like Savio, but no one needs to see him work four times in one night. Especially since, hadn't he only debuted like a short while before? So you get too much of him in one night, in front of an audience who aren't that invested in him yet, outside of "he's buddies with Razor Ramon!"

Such an odd occurrence since Savio wasn't even advertised for the show.
I once met Savio at a wrestling convention and asked him about KOTR 95. He said the reason he was placed in that spot last minute was because Razor didn't want to do the job.

Could have been saved by either HBK or Taker advancing a round or two. Or even being in different brackets so they could tease the potential for a match.
Sid/Tatanka v Diesel/Bam Bam. I mean, why?

Mabel winning KOTR would have been more palpable had he not gotten a bye and then beat a guy the fans were completely apathetic for. Mabel beats HBK/Razor whoever (with interference) and he looks more of a threat.
Instead, he fluked ass backwards into a win/title shot

What a crappy show. Also, does Zane still post here? I know he used to do so occasionally. Always seemed like a good dude.

In retrospect, they should have had Razor win the whole thing, turn heel, and feud with Diesel over summer.

I think I’ve said this before, but this show is entirely deserving of its reputation as one of the all-time worst.

Spit your gum out Jeff!
Rearranging the bracket probably would have gone with this
HBK Kama
Roadie Holly
Taker Yoko
Mabel Vega
If you really want to do the bye have Vega and IRS both get eliminated in the pre show so Mabel advances to the semis against Taker. I’d replace Yoko in the tournament completely with another heel whoever was available (Hakushi maybe?) HBK gets to the final beating Kama via count out or something to protect Kama for the Taker feud. If you really have to have Mabel win just at least make the bracket more entertaining.

Until Crown Jewel, I didn’t think there would ever be a tournament, or a ppv, worse than this.

Mabel winning King of the Ring in 95 is like Corbin winning it in 2019.
Oh wait..

Corbin is better than Mabel in literally every respect except fanbase size, and that's just because Viscera was lucky enough to be a below average midcarder 20 years ago instead of now.

This could've been a decent show if they played it safe with established names, I'll keep Mabel as winner though.
Quarter finals Undertaker vs Hakushi
Owen Hart vs British Bulldog
Shawn Micheals vs Jeff Jarrett
Mabel vs Bob Holly (Squash match)
Semi Finals Undertaker vs Owen Hart
Shawn Micheals* vs Mabel
Final Undertaker** vs Mabel
* Jarrett interferes setting up their IC title match at IYH 2, (Doesn't even have to be a pinfall loss, have JJ hit him with the belt outside causing Shawn to be counted Out ** Keep the Kama interference setting up the Summerslam casket match.
Is there too much interference? sure but at least both the big guns have reasons to job to Mabel and both set up their future feuds and it gives Mabel more heat as he only won due to nefarious means.
The other matches can stay as is, Bret/Lawler was fine and Diesel/Bam Bam vs Sid/Tatanka was what it was. And if they want Savio on the show so much just put in a quick match with I.R.S or something.
And give Mabel a new look, His M.O.M attire was daft. With Gangsta Rap being as popular as it was at the time give him a Notorious B.I.G esque look...sure he'll still suck but he won't look as silly.

The blowoff between Sid and Diesel was the lumberjack match at In Your House Lumberjacks. Looking back, it seems like the lumberjack gimmick was used to give reason for Mable to be at ringside in which he attacked Diesel during the match.
I remember at the time, the narrative was Ted Dibiase hired the entire heel roster to serve as lumberjacks for the match. So it got me thinking, were all the babyface lumberjacks working pro bono?
