www.thefarside.com/"Uncommon, unreal, and (soon-to-be) unfrozen. A new online era of The Far Side is coming!" People are speculating an update - with new artwork - on Gary Larson's FAR SIDE website........ after 24 years, it may be returning?

I love the Far Side...hope that the near 70 year old Larson can get at least some of the quality of the original

I don't think there will be much new material, if any. I think it's more likely that he's finally giving fans an official online source to read the comics after being notoriously against hosting his artwork anywhere on the Internet, which is still nice.

Gary Larson is one of those dudes who it'd be really natural and rewarding to get just a bunch of unrefined doodles from over the years.

Gary Larson is one of those dudes who it'd be really natural and rewarding to get just a bunch of unrefined doodles from over the years. He put out a book in the late-80s called "The Prehistory of the Far Side" that had a lot of that kind of stuff. It was a fairly in-depth history of the strip, and even featured a lot of unpublished stuff, along with doodles and rough ideas that never materialized. It's actually one of my favorites he put out.

There was also the last chapter and worse that had a bunch of unreleased strips
