Both "Attack of the Giant Leeches" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" got the MST3K treatment, but I think you could make good, interesting films with the ideas involved in both of them.
'Valley of the Gwangi' because who doesn't want to see cowboys versus dinosaurs?

The Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV series, except done as maybe a 2-3 season long continuous story instead of being generally episodic. I think there would be a lot of potential there.

The Wizard of Oz Yeah, I said it. Give me faithful adaptations of the book series. All 14 of them. What shocks me the most is that I'm surprised that a remake hasn't been done of this. The original film adaptation is 80 years old, it could be done. I even wondered if when Oz: The Great and Powerful came out that a retelling of The Wizard of Oz was in the works.

I feel like, if any Disney cartoon needs to be remade into a live action adaptation, it needs to be The Black Cauldron. I'll go to my grave saying that if they don't do it.

The Last Starfighter. I've heard they've been trying to reboot it lately, but so far radio silence. If they did a remake, the Starfighter game would have to be an online game or at best a game for a home console, since arcade games arent as popular as they once were. And on that note, I wonder what a Tron remake would be like. Tron might be a tough sell now as a serious sci-fi concept if you tried to remake it. In the 80s not many people knew how computers worked, so it was easier to sell the idea of a world inside of computers where data and programs could be represented as actual people and sprawling cities. I think the only way you could do it as a pitch to anyone but kids would be to make it about NPC characters in videogames or online immersive MMO's, and that's ground that's been pretty well tread by movies like Ready Player One. That said...I still want a sequel to Tron: Legacy in the worse way.

I'd like to see another stab at Red Sonya Apparently, it's back on track, ever since Bryan Singer was removed from the project, Jill Soloway was attached to direct it.

Flashman and Fletch Series. Flash had one movie and Fletch had two. Both had many fantastic books that are prime for movies.

Oh, thought about another one, and this is one you'll have to bear with me on...
Birdemic.
But one with a big budget, top notch FX, and a star studded cast. I'm talking Matt Damon, Jennifer Lawrence, every big actor we have right now.
With the same exact plot, script, and moments.
All of it.

Superman. Dudes the greatest and most well known superhero of all time, and they can't seem to make a good movie of him. They did with Christopher Reeve. Christopher Reeve was good at playing Superman, but that movie kinda sucks now and doesn't really stand the test of time. I mean, Superman literally reversed time by making the Earth rotate backwards. Then in part 2, he makes Lois Lane lose her memory by kissing her. That shit is stupid and people would crap all over it if it were made today.

Kinda like when a parachutist pulls the chord he doesn't shoot up in the air even though footage might appear that he does.

If Superman can do that (which isn't actually one of his powers anyway) then what is the point of anything ever? Anything bad that happens, Superman can just reverse time and prevent it.

It's kinda based on the silver age... where Superman made up new powers every other issue.

Surprised that no one has taken a shot at remaking The Phantom, Zorro, or especially The Shadow. The licenses can’t be that expensive right now and there’s a ton of potential.

I’m going to repeat what I said in the other thread, because I really am conflicted about it (a remake could be either really good or utterly disastrous): Se7en.
The original is pretty much a masterpiece on its own, and I don’t think much needs to be added to it. And I also don’t trust any further than I can throw it how contemporary Hollywood, with its endless self-awareness, trendiness, and struggled with showing rather than telling, could capture the gritty, sincere brutal realism of the original. But on the other hand, a small part of me does wonder about what a remake of that story would look like in an Internet-age, post-9/11 world with present-day sensibilities.
