So here are some new notes and various tidbits about the long-awaited FAN: The Movie thats scheduled to be released around the same time I get that date with Alexandra Daddario ( )
*The project has gone through a myriad of directors. Producers at first had their eyes on such directors as Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo Del Torro, Patty Jenkins, and Christopher Nolan. Then after much of the funding was cut, they tried for other directors such as M. Knight Shyamalan, Zack Snyder, Tyler Perry, and Michael Bay. Further cost cuts caused them to look elsewhere at such directors as Tommy Wiseau, Uwe Boll, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Last heard, they were attmepting to contact Albert Pyun.
*The animation studio is having to work extra hard fixing things after the general public was very harsh about the movie's CGI rendering of the "Cornfed" character. Many people called it "frightening" and said it "gave them nightmares."
*Several high profile actresses have been contacted about having various role in the movie, however almost all of them have restraining orders of some type against FAN. This has caused casting directors to try and look to different celebrity look-a-likes. Unfortunately, most of these look-a-likes have restraining orders against FAN as well.
*Many within the development team don't seem to know how exactly to describe the overall tone of the film. One source called it a cross between Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Showgirls. Another source described it as a cross between Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 50 Shades of Grey and Zootopia. While a third source said it was a cross between The Avengers, Jingle All the Way and A Serbian Film.
*Test footage shown to certain members of the critical community was described as "Sickening." While we don't really know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, the fact that the critic started dry-heaving after the subject was brought up doesn't seem like a good sign.
