Ok I just watched what I believe to be Hogan's last natch at BFG 2011 VS Sting. That was his last singles match and also his last televised match. I was actually at his last match, a 6 man tag at a TNA house show in the UK. He got a huge ovation but he could barely walk, and that was nearly 8 years ago. Just a friendly reminder that all WWE did back in the day was WCW using "Old Washed Up stars" LIKE HOGAN in their programming, and even pegged it as a reason they died. And here we are. That was killed at Summerslam 2006 when he beat a young Randy Orton |

Their Wrestlemania 19 match was brilliant, to be fair, considering Hogan was 14 years passed his peak and Mcmahon was a non wrestler in his 50s. That however was almost 17 years ago!

Hogan-Sting at BFG 2011 was frankly a miracle, given how broken down Hogan was and Sting being no spring chicken either. It's damn near a three star match when you roll in the hot post-match angle.
But match quality isn't really what Hogan's worrying about, it's the big payday and the chance for one last exposure on the big stage and what that'll do for his merch and future earnings off it. It doesn't take a genius (or The Genius) to see that, I know.
Depends how Vince feels, maybe they'd just do a quick tag or the old interrupt a promo and beat heels up move.
Really, though, I'd rather they didn't bother and clearly that's the majority feeling here.

As much as I don't really have any desire to see Hogan wrestle, I actually find the "face Vince" part the least interesting aspect of all this. We saw it already, with younger versions of them. What point would there even be, feud-wise, that wouldn't be "you downplayed my legacy!", which, that'd just remind the audience WHY it happened.

If there has to be one last match for Hogan, just make it a squash
Opponent rushes to attack him, he hulks up and it ends with him hitting the leg drop (if he can)
Then let him celebrate for what would be 20 minutes

How many former WWF/E or WCW wrestlers had their last match in TNA? Seems like everyone passed through at one point but most seemed to get at least one last match in a WWE ring too.

Hulk does need something. I’m fine with a quick squash. Beat down Hulk Up Punches Big Boot Slam Pin Hogan Must Pose Is all it has to be. Now that the “audience will hate him” stuff is dead, it’ll get a pop and off he goes. I'll have to double check but yes that might be what i was thinking of. As for this match I enjoyed the one they had at Wrestlemania 19 but I have zero interest in seeing it again. And I'm surprised that he still wants to wrestle at this point. Hogan will risk his health for that last big payday. Even Foley said he’d jump off the top of another cage for that Saudi money. In the words of Ted Dibiase “Everybody has a price.” The racist legend wants what could be over a million dollars for one match that will barely be much of a performance at all. I guess that’s one cause to support if you feel moved enough to do so.

Leaving aside the whole racist thing, Hogan is held together with medical tape and plastic piping at this point, he cannot and should not perform his big spots. He's a legdrop away from a wheelchair after his numerous back and hip surgeries, and he's litigious as hell having spent the past decade suing various doctors and others and will go to court should he hurt himself. Vince is in his seventies and has been allegedly abusing steroids for decades which aren't good for his long term health prospects. Neither man could pass wellness on health grounds, but since they've let Taker and Goldberg pass, that's kind of meaningless now. |

He did f*** over the main event that TNA had been building to all summer by using his stroke to have Kurt Angle retain, even though Kurt needed to drop the title due to a torn hamstring. |
