I love those guys, but I get it, if you have them show up on Smackdown two days after they show up on AEW, everyone accuses them of either trying to one up them or copy them.

You either get accused of copying AEW or something to put a negative light on it. Now if they told WWE beforehand that's one thing but if they didn't then I don't blame WWE at all

On one hand, it makes WWE look small minded, but on the other, yeah, it'd have probably got them accused of piggybacking.
I'm glad they were on AEW. I feel like them on Smackdown would have ended up being some 20 minute segment.

Thinking about it some more, Smith made the right call, even if he didn't know he was making one to begin with. Them on Smackdown would have felt very ho-hum celebrity appearance, since WWE's done so many of those. It got on trending in part due to how it caught AEW fans completely off guard.
