Man, this show's going to have a skeleton cast.

If you're cutting like half the cast why even keep the show going?

Jeez man I figured Kyle & Chrissy characters were first in line to be cut but kinda though they’d still need to keep a couple of the regulars otherwise what’s the point

Wow. Guessing the Kents will be moving back to Metropolis, while John Henry Irons stays in Smallville to marry Lana.
I knew that Kyle and Chrissy were in all likelihood gone, but Lana, Sarah, John Henry, and Nat are surprises.

Stay away from this James Gunn. This is Superman in his purest form. With more than half the regulars gone, I reiterate my point. That "safe" statement from Gunn very much read like a corporate takeover, "no jobs will be at risk, it's just a rebranding" and then cull the workforce a few month's later.

Do you think James Gunn had like, literally anything to do with this call? This is on CW, in all likelihood.

This whole thing reminds me of when the CW renewed Charmed to try to not basically lose all of their ongoing shows from before the WB/UPN merger. No one involved especially wanted to do it, but worse, the budget was slashed, and the actor who played Leo, one of the main characters, was reduced to hardly being around in the final season to try to lower costs. The end result was having the original Charmed lurching forward in an undead state until finally being put out of its misery.

Superman and Lois won't get $1m per episode to produce anymore I'm not entirely sure how TV production works with various vendors involved, but this isn't just on CW alone. It's just not surprising when Gunn said "it's safe". A very Nick Khan-esque statement. As head of DCEU, I doubt he doesn't know, or was involved in some form of discussion about it.

Nexstar, The CW's new owners, are the ones who decided the budget per episode they would order for the new season, not WBTV. James Gunn also has no control whatsoever over WBTV if they did have more control over the budget negotiations.

New owners? Watch this quietly get cancelled before season 4 is a reality.

If you're cutting like half the cast why even keep the show going? Yet the less budget-intensive DC superhero show was the one that got cancelled (quality of the show in question aside).

New owners? Watch this quietly get cancelled before season 4 is a reality. Nexstar is notoriously cheap, too. Though I'm hoping if CW doesn't order a fifth season or cancels the fourth season, S&L is allowed to finish its story on Max with a proper budget per episode. is this the last remaining show of the Beebo-verse? It got separated from the rest of the Arrowverse a couple of seasons ago. With The Flash show's series finale a few weeks ago, the Beebo-verse is officially done.

is this the last remaining show of the Beebo-verse? Sorta? It was originally just a spinoff of Superman and Lois from the Supergirl show, so the same universe as Flash, Arrow, etc. They even had Diggle show up. But because of COVID they never got their Batgirl crossover, and with all Arrowverse shows ending they just decided to make it a different earth, but set in the same multiverse like all the DC things. I believe only Superman is the only super powered person people know of on this earth too.
