Feel like I should bump this and say that having an NXT UK Takeover show in Dublin both makes sense from an audience perspective (Ireland being a growing wrestling presence globally, not just in WWE) but also a taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad bit inappropriate sounding from a historical perspective. WALTER made light of it saying it should be NXT Europe, but yeah, the name of the show will not go down well there. I've been to Dublin a few times in the last few years, and although the vast majority were welcoming, there is a big "BRITS OUT" mentality, which I can't go into fully here. I'll gladly admit I've taken a fair ribbing from it. But it's not like I can turn around personally and say "You guys are being mean!" because it's never gone that level and also...well...like you said, a lot we can't go into here, can't say I really blame anyone.

I’m fairly certain WWE didn’t give this any thought beyond “We’re just using our pre-established branding to host a semi-major wrestling show in Dublin”.

Oh of course but it also seems weirdly narrow-minded especially considering newsworthy events that we can't talk about along with the historical context we also can't talk much about.

I have absolutely no problem believing the people in WWE at suit level do not know that Northern Ireland and Ireland are two different places owing to being at the top of an industry that requires no intelligence to succeed at

NXT UK is on at 10am ET/3pm UK next week because of Super ShowDown, and it'll be main evented by Toni Storm's last chance at the NXT UK Women's Championship against Kay Lee Ray in an I Quit Match.
It's back at its normal time on March 5th, when Dave Mastiff challenges WALTER for the NXT UK Championship.

2/13
Aofie Valkyrie/Amale. Like Valkyrie's entrance. Finn/Aleister like. Also her finisher is cool Now Valkyrie is still green, but I like her prospects. I can wait to see her against better competition aka someone that can work better lmao.
Travis Banks isn't the greatest talker, but I like how he speaks if that makes sense. Very early WWE Bryan.
Mastiff/Huxley. Showcase for Mastiff, but Huxley like Aston Smith definitely looks like he's been taking advantage of the PC. Physically looks bigger and less lean.
Please let this KLR/Storm be good. I'm hyped for it, but also worried.
GYV Segment. Gibson is $$$.
Jordan/J.Coffey. f***ing love Gallus. Eh match. Jordan isn't at Joe's level.
Gallus vs. 1&2. Fun match, would love to see more.
2/20
Cool opening video for Coffey and Dragunov!
Bate/Connors. Glad Connors is getting a shot at a top guy. What an opening TV match. Also great on Connors stepping up in his first big match in a long ass time.
Great hype video for the I Quit match.
Like WALTER vs. Mastiff is just a TV feud.
Jinny is a star.
Was Dar coming out a rib on Tom and Aiden? They kept the camera on the them and Tom was pissed lmao
Dar/Morrell. Dar is suck a dick lol Also Morrell looked damn good. That triple jump Arabian Press was sick. WWE needs to sign Morrell and get him in the PC NOW!
Cool little promo by The Hunt.
Dragunov/J.Coffey. Great hard hitting match. Shocking I know. Any I love Joe, but it's Dragunov's time now.
The finish of match ruled and was perfectly timed.

Got us a pocket rocket here, with Starz getting the big man up and over with the butterfly suplex at one point.
Not enough, though, Ohno gets the submission win and Starz drops his 11th straight TV loss.
