It's weird how Mercury seems to be like a total raving madman... but he also kept clear, concise receipts that explain the entire situation.
Like, I wouldn't be listening to this crazed hobo ranting on a digital street corner in other circumstances but while he's doing it he's showing me the data and it checks out. It's bizarre.

Still not Bully place to bring a fan backstage for some bullshit scare tactics

Interesting that ROH apparently puts into their deals that they can (even though GG said they won't) continue making merchandise of a person after they leave. When someone leaves WWE, unless that person signs a Legends deal, WWE can only exploit their name and likeness using the company's video and photo libraries. They can't, for example, put out a new Dean Ambrose T-shirt or put him in the next game or have Mattel make new figures of him. I recall Kevin Owens got in trouble for this awhile back. ROH decided to put out a Kevin Steen action figure at around the same time Owens was debuting on RAW beating John Cena. The WWE were pissed and actually put out word that they wouldn't be signing any more talents directly from ROH anymore, although I'm pretty sure Triple H ignored this pretty quickly.

Was it ever determined if that fan actually did anything wrong? Evil intent not withstanding, of course...

The Be a Fan Incident didn't happen in Baltimore it happened in Portland. And the date wasn't 6/20/19 it happened on 6/02/19.

I am saying this for the third time. I was there that night. The man sitting directly in front of me was warned multiple times by venue security to calm down because he was really drunk and loud. Venue security finally threw the guy out, BECAUSE THERE WAS SECURITY WORKING THERE THAT NIGHT! Why does the myth continue that there was no security that night? Bubba singled that incident out because it involved Velvet. Bubba, nor Delerious, nor anyone else on the ROH roster page came up to deal with the drunk in front of me. Security handled that incident and Bubba handled the Velvet incident because his girlfriend felt disrespected.

I know that Sinclair probably don’t give a shit about this stuff going on in their company but it should be pointed out that Sinclair are worth $6 billion. Billion with a B. So you know...monumentally f***ed up there. Again, believe me...they're worth 6 billion, and spending about $1.98 of that.

It sounds like it's more calculated to me, so that when he gets sued by them, he can claim "Look, I was on a medication that was causing this, I'm not responsible for my actions, just look at the tweets I posted on this, they make no sense." It's really kind of smart. I mean, I doubt it would hold up in court, but it's better than coming flat out with this stuff.

But should always be pointed out.

It's quite possible they just grabbed a couple of trainees/jobbers that were hanging out backstage, put ROH t-shirts on them, and told them to act as security. That's different from arena security or trained security from a legit security company. I'd imagine the trainees would be a lot cheaper and a lot more likely to defer to Bully Ray in an incident then an off-duty police officer or the like would.

Dear wrestling gods,
I spent many years as a huge ROH fan. I still like a ton of their roster. I want it to succeed and be a place that more top-flight talent can get steady work now that the wrestling scene is getting healthier than it's been in many years.
With that in mind, in a year where a million insane things have happened in this industry, please, please, please have an even semi-ethical and competent entity step up to buy this company away from Sinclair as soon as humanly possible.
Love, All Longtime ROHbots

Joey Mercury is now saying Bully Ray was put in an unfair position because ROH didn't pay for security that night in Baltimore where the "BE A FAN" incident took place. Quoting to pull this up after merging.

Wow, old ECW guys sticking up for each other being assholes. Shocking. Mercury and Dudley? Dudley was gone from there for over a year before Mercury got there, and Mercury was there for five whole months. Could be a ton of reasons but "ECW buds" ain't it.
