Honestly, I get people being slightly grumpy. I was more mad that they actually started raising the lights when there were like 2 minutes left to go in the movie.
That said, the next one comes out in March. It’s not even a full year. People will live.

Just got back from the theater with my daughter, who'd been counting the days for this film.
Strong movie, strong definition of what family is, and is not. We both enjoyed it but she did not see the ending coming as she stayed away from all advance press and spoilers.

People generally like getting the whole story and not getting blueballed when it comes to a conclusion.

Wow, I liked that quite a bit, very unique. Need time to reflect on it, but it’s at the worst equally as good as the first film.

If people are grumpy about Across' cliffhanger situation, then I am so glad Twitter and Social Media didn't exist when Empire Strikes Back happened lmfao

I don't think that's an exact comparison as when Phase 3 was announced Endgame was originally called Infinity War Part 2 so I think the majority of people knew that there would be some kind of loose threads hanging. Plus the overall serial nature of the MCU lender itself to the idea that not everything would be wrapped up in 3 acts. I think a better comparison would be the new Dune. I'd happened to read the week before its release that it was a Part One, but based off the level of angry murmuring once credits hit there, I don't think most people were aware.

I know there’s some complaints about the dubbing in the theater, but I didn’t have too many audio issues at my showing and the voice acting in this movie is too damn good. Without spoiling any, Shea Whigham and Hallie Steinfeld are especially top tier, they had some well executed scenes (apparently they were in the booth together).

Something I really appreciate about the movie is that it's a huge escalation from the first movie with a very different plot structure, but it directly connects to the first one's plot and feels like a natural extension of it.
It can be really easy in this kind of sequel to have connections to the first story be largely superficial and with some shared cast and narrative concepts as the only real connection between them - right off the top of my head the Zero Escape series is like that - but despite very much doing its own thing it does feel like a direct follow-up to it.

Yeah, this was great. People are right about it.
I feel like it demands a rewatch from the amount that goes on to take stuff in and that’s high praise from me because I don’t really like re-watching stuff right away after I’ve seen it. Just not my thing to do.
It’s just…so pretty and uses that prettiness to tell its story and it’s just…there’s so much to admire from all that that you wish other studios and companies would let their talented artists do. It’s leaking out slowly across the industry in different ways but not enough to where it should.

I absolutely loved this movie. The animation is incredible, IMO. This should be an Oscar winner for Animation. I feel like its even more "comic book" than the original. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The cliffhanger at the end didn't bother me in the least.... probably because I knew the next one is going to be out in a year (or less apparently), but still. It was well done.

I didn't feel like Infinity War was as much a cliffhanger as the end of the initial battle. It felt like a logical end and we knew there would be more. This was in the middle of the "battle". I get why people are disappointed here, but it totally worked for me and makes me crave the next movie instead of being upset.

Yeah, count me as someone not fussed about the cliffhanger, mostly because the movie earned it and built itself around it being the first part of a two parter. Also, I knew it was going to be a two parter so that helped.
My flatmate afterwards said “Yeah, I hoped they would solve one threat and lead into another” and I was like “Did…did you see the threat?! How would you resolve that easily in one film?!”

I do wonder how long the next part's going to end up being. There's kind of so much left up in the air that I could see it easily being one of the longest animated movies of all time. This one is already #19 and the longest western one as it is.

Wow. This film is insanely good, and I didn't think they could surpass the original. Can't wait to see Beyond next year.

Round freakin’ two is better than the first time seeing this. Lots of fun sure to be had in the home release and freeze framing for all the fun easter eggs.
