I've only really seen her in Dark Phoenix and, honestly, even as a non-actor, I could tell she wasn't really any good in it, she sounded boring, flat and lifeless, I mean, she is 23 years old (and born only a few days before me, funnily enough), so I would've given her the benefit of the doubt and said that she was just a young actress, plus, she's English and I imagine an American accent is hard to pull off for a Brit.
But she has been on Game of Thrones (which I've never seen, despite my love of Sean Bean), so, is Dark Phoenix just a one off bad performance from Sophie, is she better in other stuff or is she always as lifeless as a funeral home? Honestly, Jean Grey would've been done more justice if they just put James McAvoy in a wig, because McAvoy was hands down the best damn thing about that movie!

She was great as Sansa in Game of Thrones. One of the few highlights of the latter seasons when the writing drove off a cliff.
She wasn't that good in Apocalypse or Dark Phoenix, but they were terrible movies and she was far from the only actor to turn in a bad performance on either.

She's great on GoT. Shame what they did to her character in the last season. I think literally everybody involved in the last couple X-Men movies was phoning it in to one degree or another.

Yeah the X-Men films are not a fair representation of her ability when compared to her work on GoT
Her one screen GoT sister though Maisie Williams often shines even if the film or series are not always the best IMO

She’s decent, probably not winning any Oscars anytime soon, but okay.

Sophie's fine when she has a role that plays to what she's good at, but she and many of the young GoT actors fall into the issue of only being as strong as the material allows. A few of them (Richard Madden, Alfie Allen, Emila Clarke near the end) were capable of rising above weaker writing but many of them could only do so much.

The only role I’ve been able to take her seriously in is Daenerys because her awkward, lifeless, wooden acting kinda worked in that role. Can’t stand her in anything else I’ve seen, she was shit in Solo, shit in Terminator. She’s legit one of my least favourite actresses and her being in a movie now pretty much scares me off it

She was completely terrible in Game of Thrones. She doesn't really move the muscles in her face when trying to emote, and was never believable in the show, especially when all the other characters kept mentioning how amazing she was.
Only other thing I've seen her in that wasn't X-Men was this weird movie where teenage girls are assassins and one of them tries to go to normal high school, wacky hijinks ensure. I think Jessica Alba was the Big Bad. She wasn't good in that either.

I loved when Bette Midler imitated her.

I think she grew steadily better on Thrones as she got older and her character also developed. As mentioned above, I also think that Maisie Williams is the better actress of the two, but Sophie Turner is decent enough in my book.

She was OK in that Jonas Brothers video, but even in that she was outshined by Priyanka.

She's pretty awful. Of all the younger actors who made their names in Game of Thrones, I think only Maisie Williams and Alfie Allen have really showed a real talent for acting.

The entire reason God created women was so that one day Emilia Clarke would exist.

And I thought Jack Gleeson could've made a name for himself but he mostly retired from acting after GoT.

I don't include Gleason for that reason, but I thought he was excellent as Joffrey. He obviously nailed the easy stuff - it's not hard to play a despicable piece of shit - but there were a number of times where he was able to play vulnerable and conflicted, to the point where I found myself actually having some sympathy with Joffrey. He definitely could go on to do big things if he ever chooses to return to acting.

She's wooden as hell. The only thing separating her Sansa Stark from her Jean Grey is the accent, which is pretty dire when you realize how vastly different those characters are written. Jean is written like a good, pure, sympathetic person in the films, but she just plays her like a raging bitch because that's how she plays Sansa and it's all she knows how to do.
