I bought Dishonored 2, Doom, and Resident Evil 2 (remake) and have yet to play them.
I got them all on sale at least.

I've had Dishonored for the PS3 for about 4 years now and still haven't touched it.

I think most people have done this with PC gaming due to bundles.
I've got a few games I've been given but haven't played, but otherwise, nothing springs to mind on consoles.

I’ve always wanted to replace SimFarm, so I bought a Farm Simulator game. It would have been easier to actually farm.

5 or 6 of the PS3 games on my shelf atleast. It’s so much worse when you factor in Games with Gold and PS+

Oh yeah, tons. Very easy to get into the habit of when it comes to downloadable stuff on the cheap, especially if you've ever done anything with Humble Bundle.

I have hundreds on Steam that I haven't. I have at least 50 games in my Steam account that I've never installed.

...okay, so not only have I bought games and never played them, but I've completely forgot about buying the games. i tapped out in the Assassin's Creed series early into AC3, then got "Origins" for Christmas the year it came out, but only played the first mission in the tomb. a couple weeks ago I got "Unity" on PS4, played through it, and decided to do "Origins", but then decided to wait and go back to 3 and do the other games in the series first. i knew I downloaded "Black Flag" when it was a free game on Xbox gold, so I've been looking for the next game "Rogue" and been debating buying the digital version. cue this thread and I pull out my PS3 collection, and discover not only had I bought a physical copy of "Black Flag" years ago, but I also bought "Rogue" as well
also have three Transformer PS3 games I forgot about, as well as New Super Mario Bros. Wii

I don't think so. I'm more likely to buy a book and sit on it for a while than a game. Even then I'm trying to catch up on my backlog instead of actually getting anything new. I keep getting reminders of Steam games I put on watch lists going on sale, but I only get stuff when I'm absolutely sure I'll play it when I get it.

I bought PIXAR: Monopoly and Lord of The Rings: RISK years ago and now they both sit in my closet in their original shrink-wrap.

Not just buy them, but I received games as gifts and I haven't gotten around to playing them yet.
But, there's always a first time. I just haven't gotten around to playing them yet, not so much that I'm not interested in playing them.

During the PS2/XBox era I had started a good paying job so I had real money for the 1st time so I bought every game I wanted to because I could. But with working 80+ hours a week and trying to have a social life I never got to play most of them.My roommate who worked like 15 hours a week got to play them all so he loved it but I quickly stopped buying games for a bit till I quit that job.

I bought GTA earlier in the year but then my mother started having health issues, and I fell way behind in everything and I haven't touched any of my games in months, hopefully I'll be able to get back to it soon. I miss my SIMs.
