SyFy has been airing episodes of HQ on Sunday night/Monday morning for 2 weeks now. Seems they're doing 3-4 episode marathons to get the first season aired, so we've got a couple airings to go. I was waiting for the DVD but hey now it's all showing up on my DVR instead. And wow, it's very much unedited. Language wise at least. I mean, unless Dr. Psycho really dropped the c-bomb in the 3rd episode and it went thru ( that was bleeped in this TV airing), VERY NSFW language was aired on SyFy. Good stuff. They don't rely too much on the language to shock (first episode, eh a bit, but it drops off after that a bit), the voice cast is pretty great, and I gotta say it's rather fun which lines up with what I'd been hearing while it was running on DC Universe.. The DCUniverse version censored Dr. Psycho as well, it’s the only censorship I believe they’ve had. Yeah, I figured they wouldn't have aired that anyway. The gore came thru pretty uncensored too; again, I reckon they did not air Maxie Zeus' hog unblurred.

It's funny reading the first 3 pages of this thread, I was ready to write this series off too. But I watched a few more episodes of Season 1, that AWESOME S1 season finale, and am currently enjoying S2 in all its brilliance and like thread pages 4 and 5 have done a complete 180.
That Mr. Freeze episode in S2, dang that was better storytelling for Freeze than anything in Batman TAS, which was the previous high bar for me in terms of Batman lore. The Batman-centric episode last week, the Joker-centric episode this week-- did Harley Quinn just become my favorite animated TV show?
Ivy is the best Robin ever!

Ivy and Kite are the only good things about this show. I disagree, but I do believe that they are the BEST thing about the show. I legit want this to carry over into the comics.

I think the best thing about this show is Bane. every scene he's in has made me laugh out loud.

I love that 'Brave & the Bold' Aquaman is becoming the "canon" animated Aquaman.

This is legit the best DC animated show since JLU and Brave & The Bold. On to the Batman centered episode in season . I 100% agree with this statement. This isn't what I was expecting when I saw the trailers. Goofy as F*** and yet as some great storytelling.

Well they're literally preventing Ivy from showing up in Harley comics now..... Unsure if anyone's willing to pick up the Kite-Man reigns, though, since Tom King got moreorless unceremoniously booted from BATMAN (with his BATS/CATS series in limbo?) and I almost fear if someone did use him.

King's Bat/Cat is still coming, the hold-up is because he wanted the same artist to do all twelve issues

I adore snarky deadpan Ivy and Bane is comedy gold whenever he appears.

I didn't know that. I haven't read Harley Quinn since Conner and Palmiotti left the book. Wow, DC puts weird mandates in place. Remember a few years back when no one could get married, and it caused Rucka to leave Batwoman? Also, what happened with Tom King on Batman? I've just started reading his run, and while not an instant classic, it's a solid book so far. I literally am taking a break from the second volume I Am Suicide to post here a little bit.

Have no interest in the show if they’re going to drop Ivy and Kite Man. I do like the Harley and Booster Gold pairing DC’s currently going with though.

Fans soured on King's run after a certain event took place around issue 50, sales began slipping and he was taking too long to get to a satisfying pay-off...turns out he never had one.

Are you referring to the wedding? I read that when it came out and was disappointed too, but thought he still had the reigns as top Bat-writer

I've just started reading his run, and while not an instant classic, it's a solid book so far. I literally am taking a break from the second volume I Am Suicide to post here a little bit. King's run was fine. He was playing a long game (supposed to be on until #100) and that affected how the book operated - some arcs flowed just fine, but the plot elements related to his long game (Catwoman, Bane) seemd to draaaaaaaaaaaaag on. And then one day they announced King is off the book with #85. Not exactly sure why, although the internet could give you a few dozen (most of them vulgar I'm sure) reasons. They announced a 12 issue Batman/Catwoman series by King (and Clay Mann I think?) around the time of his removal, which King says wraps up his long game. Apparently delayed due to the artist issue mentioned above, and also apparently bringing a version of the Phantasm (from the animated movie) into the DCU proper. Ivy and HQ were "close pals" beyond Conner & Palmiotti's run; while they sorta teased the idea they were girlfriends/lovers, no one ever bit the bullet and formalized things probably due to some corporate eyes watching them (dunno, can only assume); they just left that to fans. After Heroes in Crisis (where Ivy.......transformed, somehow) they published a Ivy/HQ miniseries that effectively ended the "relationship" side of their friendship; something to do with Ivy's recent transformation I believe. And then within the last few weeks the writer of HQ's series said he's not even allowed to use Ivy.
