Batman's prepared for anything, but he won't do that.
Honestly this is just silly, and just doesn't really help getting away from stereotype of the socially shut-off comic book fan. Reminds me similarly of whole DC backtracking off of the Batwoman wedding fiasco from a few years back. There's seems to be a lot of really antiquated and redundant thinking going on in the company.

Reminds me of the Serial Killer Convention issue of the Sandman, where they had to remove a scene where a killer talks about masturbation because no one masturbates in the DC Universe. They kept in a scene where three killers talked about taking turns removing a reporter's eyes, gutting and deboning him, and skinning him. Not to get into semantics, but this country is weird when it comes to sex & violence. You can have a guy's head blown clear off in gruesome detail and depict chunky bits flying everywhere, but you can't show a bare nipple on a female character without folks getting up in arms. Why didn't you have a problem with the other example? |
