The Hobbit films, while very flawed, are not the cinematic disgraces recent video essays and internet commentary have tried to make them out to be. They're certainly better than the Star Wars prequel films, if just for Peter Jackson being interested in getting his actors to actually emote.
Terminator Salvation was a far more interesting effort than any of the other post T2 films, and is in some ways less derivative than even Judgement Day is. The execution leaves something to be desired, but it explored much interesting territory than other attempts have.
Gene Hackman was an alright Lex Luthor for the time period, but in a film with an iconic presence like Christopher Reeves and chemistry pulled off with Margot Kidder, he's just not at all memorable or threatening.
The Planet of the Apes Reboot (Rise, Dawn, War), was as impressive as Nolan's Batman trilogy in redoing a franchise.
Kevin Smith's best film in hindsight was Dogma. Its aged well with much more resonant messages than his other work and its high concept premise means its far less reliant on pop culture discussion to buoy it up.
The Last Jedi is neither a groundbreaking masterpiece nor a total disaster. its an okayish SW film with some interesting ideas it doesn't entirely commit to and plot problems that the script probably needed another draft to really polish.
In terms of achieving what its going for, Sonic Boom is the best Sonic cartoon. AoStH is too reliant on the Looney Tunes formula, SatAM has character issues in season 2, Underground is a bad combination of cheap/tedious, and Sonic X focuses too much on Chris while not really exploring its characters to their potential till season 3.

I thoroughly enjoy Star Wars The Last Jedi and aside from the stupid Jedi Rocks song in RotJ don’t have any issue with the Special Editions.

The greatest movie opening of all time is from Arnold's Conan the Barbarian. You could know absolutely nothing about the setting/story/background... yet in 5 minutes you are fully entrenched in the world.
Everything is perfect. The Nietzsche quote. Mako's opening line. The Riddle of Steel. The Forging. The Raid. And that's not even mentioning the greatest soundtrack of all time setting the mood.

Community was not a funny show at all. Same with Futurama, Family Guy, and How I Met Your Mother.
Saturday Night Live hasn't been good since Samberg, Hader, and Wiig left.
Jurassic Park is a bad movie with terrible acting from everyone except Samuel L. Jackson (gone too soo), Wayne Knight (also gone too soon), and Jeff Goldblum. Richard Attenborough was also miscast (Ian McKellen would have been better had they kept Hammond as being an asshole) and Sam Neill and Laura Dern are unwatchable. To finish it off, Michael Crichton butchered his own novel.
Gettysburg is the best fiction miniseries of all time.
There hasn't been a consistently good sitcom since Frasier went off the air.
Law & Order: SVU is easily the worst of the franchise.
The last funny late night talk show host was Craig Ferguson.
None of ESPN or FS1's midday talk shows are good.
ABC hasn't had a consistently good show since Monday Night Football left for ESPN. The Battlebots revival would count if the second season wasn't messed with.
Justin was the least of Power Rangers Turbo's problems.

The Mark Wahlberg Italian Job is better than the Michael Caine original.

Brick, the high school noir film with Joseph Gordon Levitt, is a bunch of pretentious garbage with unbelievable characters. The use of anachronistic film noir dialogue is a cute gimmick that wears thin after about 5 minutes.
The Office was still pretty good in the seasons without Michael Scott. Obviously not as good as the Michael Scott seasons, but it was still better than most other shows.

Best Picture Winner at the Oscars as actually come to the point nowadays that it's a negative in me wanting to see it, I've been burned that much
I like 2 Broke Girls, granted Kat Dennings is a big part of it, but she and Beth Behrs have fantastic chemistry
I honestly liked the Mandarin twist in Iron Man 3, thanks in part to Ben Kingsley
I like a lot of Adam Sandler's movies, granted he's done really terrible films (Jack and Jill, Ridiculous 6 etc)
Hot Fuzz >>>> Shaun of the Dead (probably not controversial)
I would rather have watched a Tony Scott movie then a Ridley Scott movie
Home Alone 2 is a bad movie except for Tim Curry, because he's well... Tim Curry
I've never liked a Sofia Coppola film, they have all left me feeling cold
Scarface is just way too long, it feels it's running time
Cary Elwes just from trying to do the claw is funnier than anything Jim Carrey does in Liar, Liar
I didn't think I had this much to say

Big Bang Theory is a fine show. Its no masterpiece but if nothing else is on its good for a few laughs.
I couldn't get into Mad Men at all and thought it was pretty boring.
Parks and Recreation is better than The Office (US) version. The highs of The Office were REALLY high but it was bad-mediocre close to half of its run.
Spider-Man 3 isn't that bad and emo Peter was funny. Also Tobey is still the best Spider-Man.
The No Country For Old Men non-ending is bullshit. Yeah yeah I get what they were going for but it still makes for an unsatisfying movie ultimately.
Will Smith hasn't made anything decent for like 15 years.
Affleck should have died at the end of The Town.

Better Call Saul was good, but not even close to on par with Breaking Bad.

I personally never thought the 2016 Ghostbusters movie was terrible. I mean, yes, I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's not close to the hellish abomination that everyone makes it out to be. Then again, I enjoy the film.

Saw The Last Jedi for the first time earlier this week. I liked it. Perfectly good fun.
I cannot see what the backlash was about.

I still think The Walking Dead is a solid show.
I think the animated Lion King movie is not even close to being one of Disney's best films.

Is saying the Monster of the Week episodes on X-Files is better than the idiocy of the main plot really an unpopular opinion? I think that's just simple fact. A more unpopular opinion would be this: The last 2 seasons with Robert Patrick were actually pretty solid.
