The three failed cartoons in the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror's graveyard are all pretty interesting. Family Dog was cute, Fish Police wasn't bad, and Capitol Critters is flawed but also has a very good lead performance from Neil Patrick Harris.
On that note, there are some modern Simpsons episodes I think are funny, like the LEGO one and when they went to England.
Bob's Burgers is the best cartoon sitcom since KOTH ended and one of the best sitcoms period on TV.
The first X-Files film felt like a perfect series finale, and probably should have been that.
Purple Rain is an amazing album, but it really does not hold up as a movie.
The John Wick movies blow Keanu's Matrix stuff out the water. The storytelling, the action and acting, it's all better and less convoluted.
T3: Rise Of The Machines was great.
The Wachowski sisters' Speed Racer is underrated.
I like Spike Lee, but Jungle Fever is god-awful. It has an awesome soundtrack though.
Fellini's 8 1/2 is boring.
Stanley Kubrick's best movie, or at least my favorite, is Barry Lyndon.
Tyler Perry is hit-or-miss, but I've caught myself laughing at some of his stuff. Not into his melodrama, though.
Ferngully was charming and fun.
The first Ninja Turtle movie in 1990 is one of the best comic book films ever.
The Twilight films aren't great, but they're fun in a campy and stupid way. Especially Breaking Dawn 2.

-Red Dwarf series seven is probably the best of the post-Rob Grant seasons
-Doctor Who series nine finale "Hell Bent" is perfectly passable as an episode, and a masterpiece if you love Clara (I don't, but I think it's still fine)
-Ghostbusters 2 is the best one
-Fraiser should have ended after Daphne and Niles sped off in the camper van
-Friends should have ended with Ross' wedding to Emily.
-CW Superhero shows all peak after two years tops
-Aside from two things that hurt it overall, Terminator: Dark Fate was excellent.
-Star Trek Enterprise gets better with age
-The Matrix Reloaded is the best one
-Attack of the Clone is better than Return of the Jedi and A New Hope (kidding, it's better than The Force Awakens)

Jurassic Park is a bad movie with terrible acting from everyone except Samuel L. Jackson (gone too soo), Wayne Knight (also gone too soon), and Jeff Goldblum. Richard Attenborough was also miscast (Ian McKellen would have been better had they kept Hammond as being an asshole) and Sam Neill and Laura Dern are unwatchable. To finish it off, Michael Crichton butchered his own novel. I think I'm going to be sick. Seriously, Chrichton always intended his novel to be more "family-friendly" and even wrote the original draft from the perspective of the kids but publishers rejected it unless he made it more R rated.

That isn't an unpopular opinion lol. Most Trek circles it's her or Archer that's the most disliked. And Archer really came into his own in the last couple of seasons of Enterprise compared to how comparatively dumb and short-sighted he could be in S1 and 2.
Speaking of unpopular Trek opinions, I prefer Sisko over Kirk and Picard.

Jurassic Park should be remade. I think it's one of the easiest/slam dunk remakes Hollywood could do.
Bev Crusher was hotter than Troi.
Kat Dennings and Natalie Portman should have switched roles in the Thor movies.

Kat Dennings and Natalie Portman should have switched roles in the Thor movies. I'm curious as to why, do you think Kat and Chris had better chemistry? That Natalie would have been better as comic relief?

Kat Dennings and Natalie Portman should have switched roles in the Thor movies. I'm curious as to why, do you think Kat and Chris had better chemistry? That Natalie would have been better as comic relief? Thor seems like the type of dude that likes his women wild. Even Kat playing the more straight Jane role would fit that. I think Natalie would have come off less like a slab of wood if she was able to act goofy in the sidekick roll. And yes, there was somehow less-than-zero chemistry between two amazingly perfect 10 type beautiful actors. It's so baffling it's hard to explain. But I think most everybody saw that.

The Lord of the Rings movies are incredibly goddamn boring and you probably could have easily told the essence of the story in one movie, two at most. The only really thing they have going for them is the level of artistry in the scale and level of devotion to bringing this world to life but that really isn't at all worth what a neverending grind it is to actually sit through the movies.

Hayden Christensen as Anakin's ghost was so the right call. Better the actor that played Anakin for 2 movies than the guy that was him for all of 5 seconds. Ash & Misty is still my OTP & Serena can go fall off a cliff. Organic webshooters>tech based. He's Spider-Man, he's supposed to have the abilities of a spider. But instead of actually having the most famous thing that spiders do, he just magically gains the knowledge to fake it & there are fans that think that makes more sense somehow. 2013 reboot Princess Sally was the best version of Sally by far.
I was actually shipping Matt & Sora back in Season 1 of Digimon. That said, the show went about making them canon in just about the lamest way possible & Tri didn't help matters, making me lose interest in the pairing.
Jessica Jones should've been more about standalone episodes of her being a detective with superpowers. In fact, a lot of Netflix shows need to be more episodic & not 10 hour movies.
Medabots was the best of the 'mon shows.

You know usually these types of threads are filled with ideas that are actually popular, but some of the opinions here REALLY are unpopular and out there. Like I need to bite my tongue and not start a debate over them, because that really isn't the spirit of this thread.
So good job everyone? I guess?

Bonkers was a great Disney Afternoon show and I don't agree with Slappy Squirrel hating on him.
I like Chris Ayres' Frieza voice more than the original.
Teen Titans GO isn't my favorite CN show, but it's gotten funnier and grown on me a little.
Almost all of the non-Chris stuff in Sonic X is really good. And Chris doesn't bother me that much anyway, he's a nice kid. He's just not that interesting a deuteragonist. Maybe if he was the tech-savvy partner to Tails at his young age instead of his uncle, give him something.
Sym-Bionic Titan and Road Rovers were great shows, and I'm baffled as to how the people in charge couldn't get cool merchandise out of those characters.
Whenever I'm watching a music biopic, I'm more interested in just being entertained than how much exact details they're getting down. That's why I liked Bohemian Rhapsody, Straight Outta Compton and Rocketman all about equally.

Some 80s movie opinions:
Iron Eagle>Top Gun
I liked Nightmare on Elm Street 1, 3, and 5, but hated 2 and 4.
Cujo and Firestarter are excellent Stephen King adaptations
Outside of that one car chase, the Blues Brothers is boring

I’m on the Hayden Christiansen being put in return of the jedi being the right call as well. I hope his force ghost pops up in the rise of sky walker.

I’m on the Hayden Christiansen being put in return of the jedi being the right call as well. I hope his force ghost pops up in the rise of sky walker. Hope he at least got over his issue with sand. I liked Superman IV and Supergirl. (I now know they're cheesy movies, but they were on all the time when I was younger) Mad Men bored me. Rifftrax is better than the Jonah Ray MST3K. I think Mike AND SFC Mike episodes of MST are better than a lot of Joel ones. As he's less reluctant to include edgy humor in the riffs. The first version of The Mary Tyler Moore Show theme is superior to the one with the lyrics we all remember. I liked Batgirl episodes of the '6x Batman series. Orko wasn't as annoying as people say, at least on the Filmation MOTU. At least he had heart more often than not and got some good storylines to his character as well. I like the KFS Popeye shorts (made-for-TV from the sixties). They are probably the only Popeyes that used more of the Thimble Theater characters and used them well...KFS Wimpy was much more true to the original than Fleischer, Famous, and Hanna-Barbera. Blame the Animaniacs writers who felt it cute to remind us that Disney took the original name for their show. Think you'll find no issue with people liking 1 and 3 at least. It's becoming more popular and understood now, but I like Halloween III.

Tarantino and Burton are the 2 most overrated, overhyped, "lets-do-the-same-thing-forever" film makers in the history of film. Burton made his only 2 good movies in the 80s, and Tarantino has never made a good movie at all.
OITNB, GoT, Mad Men...pretty much all of the subscription service original shows might be good if they could tone down the pointless nudity and sex. I like boobies and am always glad when I see some, but these shows have more reliance on tits and f***ing than horror movies. It never serves a purpose other than being able to go "Well, I saw that hot chick nude. Cool."
I still enjoy Family Guy and American Dad.
Anime is far and away the most puzzling form of watchable entertainment I have ever seen. It's boring and rarely makes any sense. Even when it does make sense, it's still boring. (And yes, I have seen whatever thing you think will change my mind. It sucked.)
Kate Winslet is an absolutely embarassing actress who has to be carried by the rest of the cast in every single movie she's in. Her success has puzzled me since Titanic. Soap operas have consistently better acting than she could ever dream of.
Scarlett Johansson isn't that hot and is generally terrible on screen. At best, she is Blonde Actress #396104.
Comic book and Star Wars related things need to go the f*** away for a long, long time. Overexposure to both has left me beyond burnt out on the genres, and it happened a long time ago. It doesn't help that almost none of them are done well.

One Piece is the most overrated Manga/Anime I've ever seen. I've tried numerous times to get into it but I cannot get into it no matter what.
Hellsing The TV Series is an underrated Gem.
Creators and Actors should sign a contract not to insert whatever their beliefs are into a show. Lest we wound up with another McFarlane

Some 80s movie opinions: Iron Eagle>Top Gun I liked Nightmare on Elm Street 1, 3, and 5, but hated 2 and 4. I'm an Iron Eagle guy. I've NEVER seen Top Gun. The whole macho military thing just never appealed to me. Nightmare 3-5 is a horror superhero movie trilogy. Batman '89 is about as campy as Batman '66, just darker. Punisher '89 wouldn't get as much hate as it does if Dolph Lundgren had a skull on his shirt.

Punisher '89 wouldn't get as much hate as it does if Dolph Lundgren had a skull on his shirt. I've always had a soft spot for that movie, Punisher fan that I am notwithstanding. It was a step above your average run of the mill 80s action movie. And it dared to not be an origins movie.
