Loved Joey Ryan's Penis Party last year and hope this years event is as good. Pancakes and Piledrivers was another good show. Best part is most of these shows will be on the Highspots Network. So while most people are watching WM I will be binging all the WM weekend Indy shows.

Going to be interesting to see how the Wrestlemania Weekend "event" shapes up this year. So much of the business landscape has changed since last year's. In 2019, there were almost 50 wrestling shows in the area during the event, but a number of the big names that were bouncing around those shows are now tied up with AEW (and a few with NXT), and I just don't see AEW heading to Florida to take part in the festivities. Also, wasn't there something after it was all over this year that WWE was trying to do something fairly petty about cutting the legs out from under other promoters holding cards in the area so they wouldn't be able to do this next year? Could have sworn I remember something about that.

So, anyone heard anything about Ring of Honor or New Japan running Wrestlemania weekend this year? Seems crazy that Ring of Honor has run a major event every year for almost a decade, with the G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden being such a banner event last year, and yet tickets are on sale for Wrestlemania now, WrestleCon's schedule has just finalized, and The Collective isn't too far behind, yet one of the longest standing non-WWE traditions of the weekend is almost off the radar entirely, and not even the new-fangled NJoA subsidiary has announced anything to fill the gap.

Yeah, those are definitely some of the landscape changes I was referring to. ROH has tripped so viciously over the last year and New Japan has so many things going on with NJoA and Stardom, their presence or lack thereof...dunno, maybe both just aren't up for it this year. Nah, imagine ROH will be there.

This Mania weekend's going to be a huge test of the indies. I've held there's enough talent that even the AEW vacuum can be roughed through and new people will rise up, and every year we see new MVPs replacing whoever got snatched up, so this one is going to be a week to watch

I remember Cody saying that the weekend “should belong to WrestleMania” and that AEW wouldn’t hold an event. That being said, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them run Dynamite in Florida on the Wednesday prior to WM and attract some of the audience heading down there.
Anything New Japan does will feel like a step back from the pageantry of the MSG show, but I would count on some form of presence from them. If not a full-on show, then perhaps some wrestlers on a RevPro event or at least Suzuki at Bloodsport situation.

I am excited for wrestling fans to get to see what an awesome city Tampa is, it is perfect for something like Wrestlemania weekend. Wrestlecon has been especially creative and awesome with their venue choices so far.
I wouldn’t doubt AEW runs. Especially with Dusty’s connection to Tampa, it kind of writes itself.

The Collective has released their lineup, albeit with a TBA still present.

The Collective has released their lineup, albeit with a TBA still present. Hyped for Bloodsport and the TBA event might be Chikara like last year. Also FREEDOMS oh my goodness, I wish I could be there live for all this.

WWNLive have their lineup largely set as well, including a new tournament involving all the rosters associated.

Ok, so I have a Spring Break 4 ticket...which means I might get a chance to see Kaiju Big Battel right after it?!
Ugh, I really need to sit down and 100% confirm I can make this flight, I'm gonna get all antsy.

The Collective's ticket packages just went on sale. And I am going to overdose on indie wrestling that weekend.

HE'S BACK EVERYBODY SHUT UP That's a hell of a first name to announce for this show. Also, GCW needs to figure out how calendars work.

Scott Steiner is doing another verbal debate! I love that the match is only "if needed", that's legit funny as hell.

Could have sworn I remember something about that. Yeah, thinking AEW are unlikely to take part, both because it's a pretty big thing for indies and it'd be a bad look to cut into their business on that, and because I think it just makes sense for them to sit it out to not get lost in what is already going to be a shuffle.
