Going to be interesting to see how the Wrestlemania Weekend "event" shapes up this year. So much of the business landscape has changed since last year's. In 2019, there were almost 50 wrestling shows in the area during the event, but a number of the big names that were bouncing around those shows are now tied up with AEW (and a few with NXT), and I just don't see AEW heading to Florida to take part in the festivities. Also, wasn't there something after it was all over this year that WWE was trying to do something fairly petty about cutting the legs out from under other promoters holding cards in the area so they wouldn't be able to do this next year? Could have sworn I remember something about that. Yeah, thinking AEW are unlikely to take part, both because it's a pretty big thing for indies and it'd be a bad look to cut into their business on that, and because I think it just makes sense for them to sit it out to not get lost in what is already going to be a shuffle. I am interested to see where they end up running Dynamite on the 1st and the 8th. Do they go anywhere close to Florida, or do they go somewhere else entirely? |

I'd say if they want to stay out of Mania's way then AEW's best play would probably be to try somewhere like New York or California, pretty much just be a, "Hey, here's a big show!" option for people who don't want to travel across the country.

WRESTLExpo (WWN Live) have announced what their Accelerate shows will be - they're two tournaments, one men's, one women's, featuring talent from NXT, NXT UK, EVOLVE, PROGRESS and wXw, taking place over two shows.
