At this point, people are going to have to directly put Corgan on blast if they want anything to be done about Corny.

While Corny deserves to be dragged for this, everyone else involved needs to be dragged further. There is zero excuse for this. Corny should have been fired on the spot and this should have been edited out. Zero. Excuse. Oh yeah whoever was supposed to be “quality control” should be shitcanned too. You didn’t do your job and someone else head has to roll for this

The Lagana tweet is so toothless. I love how it says “some people found offensive” and it was an error instead of stronger wording and the standard we don’t tolerate verbiage.

Austin Idol made a commercial about giving females roofies. I get what Cornette said was awful but they also made a Commerical about roofies

Yeah good point, I didn't even pick up on that until you said that. Typical "I'm sorry if you felt offended by something" bullshit.

Again, as I mentioned before, the "one of our talents" thing is disgusting to me because it 100% makes it sound like one of the wrestlers said something and not a commentator.

I mean it is probably not a good idea for a white person to say anything about someone of African descent and fried chicken, but I thought that was more a racist stereotype specifically towards African Americans. I thought he was more saying fried chicken because it is delicious and, like, more than one piece of it. I honestly asked because I thought just the whole starving Ethiopian aspect of it was more so why people were upset. I just didn’t make the fried chicken/anyone with dark skin connection. Don’t think Cornette did either, he is probably on too thin of ice to get a pass for it. Nah, Cornette doesn’t get to feign ignorance for this. At the very least, this statement is something you wouldn’t repeat in public because your ass would be lambasted and if you said it at work you’re fired Fried Chicken/Black People is one of the oldest racist things out there to discredit us and make us look like savages. My mind doesn’t directly go there when it isn’t directed towards African Americans, as it is a stereotype with roots directly to Jim Crow. Wasn’t sure if it had the same context when said about Ethiopians.

He's still making jokes about famine and people starving to death who have to live in extreme poverty. It's just disgusting in so many ways.

Since the Civil War, this has been a stereotype due to African Americans only being able to raise chickens back then. It was used in KKK videos to make us look uncivilized because In those videos they would devour fried chicken like a pig eating slop Even then, it’s still not ethical to talk about bringing fried chicken to people who are starving

Most people are going to go directly to "black", regardless, and everyone involved should have been mindful of that.

People seemed big on the racist aspect, when it seems like much more of a “All Ethiopians are starving” joke than a “All black people like fried chicken” joke. And until pretty recently, starving Ethiopians jokes were pretty prevalent in American pop culture, so I didn’t think people would be that shocked by that aspect.
