Freedom, my friend. It means freedom. It also means he needs to change his Twitter handle.

I'm very excited about this. He should have a a few more rock solid years left in the tank. AEW and NJPW would be really fun places for him.
I hope he gets his chance to shine and kills it!

I hope he shows up in GCW as RSP's bodyguard/heavy. Him vs Nick Gage would be nuts

Alvarez mentioned on Observer Live today that his contract was up in the Spring so this in practice doesn't do that much with the 90 day non-compete clause other than perhaps improving the image of WWE and allowing him to cool off before he signs with someone else.

Do they still get paid? Yeah, they do. Thereâs an option to not take the 90 days but if WWEâs going to pay you for basically being unemployed, itâs difficult to not be tempted by it.

He has the benefit of being well liked by influential people within AEW. He'll land on his feet somewhere.

I'm kind of torn on what I want to see him do. I agree he could absolutely kill it on the indies right now, but he'd be great as another big man in AEW (they're slowly building that number up a bit), particularly if Marty Scurll shows up and has him as a Villain Club associate, or he could be a great addition to either Bullet Club or Suzuki-gun if he hit NJPW, he'd fit in great with either.

Realistically he can work both if Moxley and Jericho can among others. The benefit of AEW is they let you work other shows, Indies, Japan, etc. They let you work a freer schedule while still being on national TV, so I don't see why Harper would pass on them

I've been a big fan of Harper since his CHIKARA days and honestly think he could've been a star in any period in any territory, so I'm excited to see what he does next. Be a Bruiser Brody tribute act in NWA. I'd have him just destroy people for a few months before a couple of big feuds. No 10 minute matches for months. And some occasional NJPW stops.
