Chris Jericho vs Piper, Snuka, and Steamboat
Piper and Snuka couldn't move but Steamboat showed that even at 70% of what he was, he can still go and they had a surprisingly great matchup that got them a one on one rematch the next month

Cena vs Great Khali ended up actually being quite good. Not like he's been someone that'd tend to be written off as awful, but I feel like all of 2019 Lance Archer (Lance Hoyt) would qualify, as he REALLY rose to the occasion, and in quite arguably the most star-studded and varied G1 tournaments in years, he managed to get a ton of buzz for himself. I was a fan of Hoyt during his TNA run back in 2005 simply based off the fact that he's the tallest guy I've ever seen do a moonsault. For years people looked at me like I was crazy when I said there was something there and I myself had given up on him about a decade ago. His match with Osprey in the G1 this year was validation that I wasn't crazy. I don't know why it took so long for this guy to hit his stride but he had a hell of a 2019.

Undertaker vs. Batista at WM. I remember how everyone shit all over it when it was announced on these boards. It ended up being one if not the match of the night. By far one of Batista's best matches. I came to say this exact match. I never liked Batista or saw what anybody else ever saw in him but I couldn't deny this match. I went in expecting nothing and was blown away.

Some may disagree with me on this one, but Hulk Hogan vs. Sgt Slaughter at WrestleMania VII wasn’t as bad as it may seem on paper, especially with the whole Gulf War angle going into it. Hogan even went on the top rope and he even bladed.

I think it's even on one of Hogan's DVDs. Hogan comes out dressed in fatigues and a gas mask and they have a great No Holds Barred match.

X-Pac vs Shane WrestleMania 15 Shane/Test from SummerSlam 99 is another one. Probably the best match Test ever had Am I misremembering, or has it been said that Russo was high on Test but others weren't so much? It'd make sense, cause that whole feud made Test look a star but they seemed to stop caring about him right around the time Russo left. They didn't even run with the super obvious Test/HHH & Steph feud. Edit: Upon further review, he had a short program with HHH and DX, but it wasn't much of anything.

Cena vs. Great Khali. Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey from TLC 2018; Nia's best ever match in my view.

Dunno about bad, but a Shimmer title match between Madison Eagles and Jessie McKay (now Billie Kay) seemed like a ho-hum match to me. Billie Kay's more recent work seems to have her pegged as a good character who is not so great in the ring, so it may actually look worse on paper these days. It is easily one of my favorite matches of all time, with a picture perfect face/heel dynamic, some of the best selling I have ever seen, and a thoroughly well-paced and well-worked mentor vs. student story. I was about to say. Madison Eagles does not have bad matches, I don't think Billie is as bad in the ring as people say, even if I do agree her strength is her character work, but Eagles could probably get a good match out of Steve 'Mongo' McMichael.

Maybe not the exact spirit of this thread, but I still mark out for that Kane/Big Show chain wrestling clinic.

- The Undertaker vs Festus This match was amazing and it had no right to be...just a good brawl from both.

Goldberg/Lesnar was the first thing that came to mind. Post 2004, I never wanted to see them wrestle ever again. Yet, by keeping it super brief, and just letting them go hell for broke, they had some of the most enjoyable and memorable matches in the past decade.

How has this topic gone this long gone without The Godfather of this topic Hogan Warrior at WrestleMania 6 People forget that Hulk Hogan was capable of putting on better matches than he did in his WWF run. In Japan, he was able to move like a cruiserweight. He even did an enziguri! Also, its been said that Pat Patterson chereographed the match move for move, so a jaded smark can say Pat Patterson carried them to a decent match.

Most of Hogan's matches followed a set routine and very limited in WWF, but was capable of putting on a decent match at that point of time. My favorite matches of his in WWF were against Orndorff, both the cage match and Big Event were solid matches. But I think the fact that he was capable of putting on a good match with Warrior, while very few outside of Savage could do the same, was nothing short of a miracle.

Oh, just remembered one;
Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins Lumberjack match from Summerslam.
Lumberjack matches mostly suck for a variety of reasons. This turned out to probably be the best one.
