Are these the big three? I mostly just stick with USPS.

USPS is legally obligated to operate everywhere within the US. The private companies can, and do, ignore large swaths of the country.

Where I live it's UPS by a mile.
FedEx will show up 2 days late, knock once and literally drop the package on the ground hard and sprint away. I've have to upload a couple videos to get replacements for damaged goods. Different driver every couple weeks. We must be in a hell route or something. It's terrible
UPS shows up at the predicted time. Will handle packages with care. Driver is friendly. Had the same dude for the last 15 years.
USPS averages 2-5 days late. They will pretend like they tried to deliver a package to your house, lie about it (video evidence shows nobody came) and force you to go to the post office to get it. Lazy pieces of shit. When my chilled medication used to show up USPS it had a 50% chance of being spoiled by the time they got it to me. It gets shipped a cooler with a 4 day supply of coolant. And they STILL couldn't pull it off. Now that it comes UPS it's 36 hours from when it leaves the facility to when it's in my home fridge.

Between USPS and FedEx for me.
When I moved NY to LA, I used USPS and out of all my stuff, only 3 cd cases got cracked. They were quick on the insurance fulfillment, including one of the CDs being a super rare out-of-print title and didn't blink to give me the $125 it was worth in full.
FedEx is the most expensive, but when you need something to arrive in pristine condition, packaged lovingly and shipped fast - they're tops. You get what you pay for when you absolutely can't take chances.
f*** UPS to Hell. Their bureaucracy when dealing with a lost package or things stolen from a package is awful.

UPS is annoying. I’ve gotten packages shipped by others to me using them before. When I wasn’t there (since I work all the time) they wanted $40 per package for me to pick the stuff up from one of their locations. This compared to the whopping $0 USPS charges me for the same thing.

I’ve worked in transportation/shipping industry for well over 10 years now - fedex is definitely the best. ups is over priced and their track/trace setup is a nightmare . very difficult recovering lost shipments

Fed-ex and it's not even close. For me, anyway. USPS doesn't communicate well and is frequently late. And more than once, my shipment inexplicably went to the wrong post office in the wrong town entirely. UPS takes no care with packages and being on time is hit or miss. Fed-ex has always been on time, if not early, and the packages don't arrive looking like they've just gotten back from battle.

Haven't had issues with USPS or FedEx.
UPS has left packages in snow banks and on the side of the road. One of their seasonal drivers once insinuated that they'd try to break into my house. They held my packages hostage last year when another of their seasonal drivers flaked on making the delivery and their area manager was both rude and didn't even stick to her word.

I don't know, but I'm sure if Vince McMahon had known about FedEx, Steve Austin wouldn't have ended up being such a headache for him.

As much of a badly managed shitshow as it is....I'd still go with USPS.

Fittingly enough I just got home after shitting on UPS in this thread. I found two packages Amazon sent me using UPS. The only problem was they were cardboard and it’s been pouring rain all day.
By some miracle the contents of the package seem to have survived and any water that got in was very minimal.

I've lost more packages from UPS than any other company, or never got the supposedly delivered items after they claimed someone signed for it (hint: no it wasn't). They've never reimbursed me for lost items or packages, and damage just about everything that isn't built like a freaking tank when it's at my doorstep. I've had to resort to having all my packages delivered to the office simply because I know they wouldn't dare damage items or leave them in the middle of nowhere at a place of business when I do have to deal with them.
FedEx...I can't remember the last time I actually received a package on the date they claim to deliver. When they fail to have someone knock on the door and take it back to the processing station, they're usually open for a whopping 30 minutes late in the evening, and even then won't sort their packages so you're standing there for hours waiting for them to find what you got a notice for.
Don't even get me started with those halfway house dipshits in Amazon U-Haul rental vans. They've had to install GPS trackers on all of their drivers because of how often those idiots keep driving away with truckloads of goods never to be heard from again. Thank goodness for the Amazon Lockers, at least I know once they're in there I've got my stuff.
The USPS, for all the bad wrap they get, is really the only delivery service that hasn't royally screwed me over with various things. Only bad thing I could say about them is they need to add a second self-service kiosk at the station I'm nearby.

USPS is the best. They've got way more to work with than the others and they do it more efficiently. Sure, they can lose things but it's not like the others, I mean most of the time we're talking letters and with the size of a letter? And they still get it delivered right most times? That's amazing. Same with packages. Honestly, the only major issue I have with them is reaching them because it's almost impossible to get the local post office on the phone.
FedEx, I had 1 issue with them and that's was last year when I ordered a 65 inch tv, it apparently got "lost" but then it showed up 2 days later. Since then it's been ok and even more than that this past month my local FedEx driver noticed a package I ordered and started talking about the site I got it from so we're cool.
UPS, they arrive later than the others in my area, their customer service isn't as great as it could be, they change the delivery date more than they should, nah, I don't like them much.

When I ordered stuff from Blizzard's online gear store, they used USPS air and I was amazed by how quickly my stuff got there. Usually early and the next day. And cheaper than standard ground transport too, for some reason.
Also never really had problems with UPS around here. FedEx is a mixed bag, but they've never lost stuff. Just came a bit later than expected.

And today the UPS seasonal driver left my sister-in-law's package up the road in the middle of someone else's yard. Thankfully most of my neighbors are pretty good sorts.
