Let's say they did a GBR at Wrestlemania 36. With the following stipulations, who would you bring in for this?
1. No one from the X7 battle royal 2. Everyone has to be under 55 3. Everybody has to be at least semi-active (at least one match in the last year) 4. Nobody signed to other promotions 5. Let's shoot for anywhere between 20 and 36 participants.

It's so hard because OTT gimmicks like those in the WM17 battle royal feel like such a thing of the past.
The Hurricane has appeared once or twice in the last year or so?
Santino?
Hornswoggle?
Kane?
Reverend D'Von?
Deacon Batista?
Headbangers?
That's all I got off the top of my head.

Rikishi, in a choice of gimmicks
Raven (or Johnny Polo), is 55 so right on the cusp

Imagine that crowd reaction for Kenzo Suzuki I'd actually love it if people switched gimmicks. Kenzo Suzuki, whatever. But Kenzo Suzuki, MALE CHEERLEADER? Gold.

Yeah this one's tough because it's hard to get the crowd excited about some of the choices.

I went through the list of backstage personnel / ambassadors, and I think these are the only ones currently associated with WWE that qualify: Abyss Hurricane Jeff Jarrett Kurt Angle - not really a name that springs to mind for a gimmick battle royal Mark Henry (pushing the currently active rule a bit) Daivari - again, probably not the best for gimmick based stuff. HBK - It'd be more dignified than his last outing. ---- King Booker he's 54 and had a match at the start of the year. Kane if you persuade him to make an appearance has several options for gimmick. x-pac qualifies. 1-2-3 Kid? handy list of X7 participants {Spoiler} Luke & Butch Bushwackers Duke Droese Doink Nikolai Volkoff Tugboat The Goon Earthquake Gobbledy Gooker Brother Love Michael Hayes One Man Gang Kamala (w/ Harvey Wippleman) Kim Chee Jim Cornette Repo Man Sgt Slaughter Iron Shiek

Grab 40 different people from the massive rosters across all brands.
20 people dressed up in Sin Cara masks and 20 people dressed up in Doink outfits...

Sifted thru Wikipedia & found these gimmick(ish) wrestlers who are under 55 (for some reason, this was the stipulation I focused most on; no idea if they've been active in the indies)
Mayor Kane Gangrel Kevin Thorn Mark Henry Tajiri Blue Meanie Chris Masters Super Crazy Psicosis The Hurricane The Highlanders The Headbangers A-Train JTG Aldo Montoya The Great Khali Phantasio Zack Gowan (he HAS to be in a WWE battle royal in his lifetime, come on) Essa Rios Damien Sandow Tiger Ali Singh Rikishi Perry Saturn 2 Cold Scorpio Deuce & Domino Funaki Santino Marella Mideon Trevor Murdoch Val Venis Snitsky Jimmy Wang Yang Big Show and Harvey Whippleman
(That's 37 there. I may be willing to remove Khali so that Whippleman makes the cut. lol)
These folks are literally 55 right now: Adam Bomb Sir Mo Mr. Hughes Henry Godwinn Savio Vega
And for some reason, I need Virgil to be in my battle royal too, even though he's 57. Same applies for the Brooklyn Brawler (58) and Blake Beverly (56).
