Honestly, I had no idea how damn good the Kabuki Warriors would be as heels, like, Asuka just looks like an absolute psychopathic loose cannon with her mannerisms and promo style, as well as the manic stares and the fact she uses the green mist and the visual of the residue on her face makes her look like some kind of demon.
Kairi Sane deserves credit too for really embracing the heel role, I'd only really seen Kairi as a babyface in STARDOM and on NXT, but she and Io Shirai have both shown that they can play both sides of the alignment coin effectively with Kairi being like Asuka's apprentice. I know that RAW doesn't have a lot of things to be positive about, but I think one of those things are the heel Kabuki Warriors.
Also, let's not kid ourselves here, if you ignore the questionable booking with the handicap matches on RAW the last two weeks, the TLC match between Charlotte and Lynch vs. The Kabuki Warriors should be an amazing match if we just take off our smark hats and just go in wanting a great wrestling match; which is what that tag team TLC should be considering the participants involved.

Yeah, the Kabuki Warriors are my favorite part of RAW every week. Hands down.
However, the jaded part of me (which is the rational side of this thing) realizes the moment the Kabukis lose the titles (probably this Sunday) is the moment they disappear from TV again. It's happened every single time Asuka and/or Kairi has been handed a major loss on the main roster. No reason to think it won't be any different this time.
It's pretty obvious that while the match will be good, its only purpose is to stat pad Charlotte, and make Becky look strong. Again. That's why I absolutely hate the main roster women's division outside of the Kabukis. Every other woman just exists to be fed to the WWE 4HW or Alexa.

They understand and I said it the minute Kairi debuted her new look that they clearly understand how important character work is from mannerisims to costumes they love and understand theatrics , everyone knows they can wrestle and they know everyone knows they can wrestle and it was not enough and now Asuka added the green mist , Kairi completely overhauled her entire character and it has been amazing.
Little things like Kairis evil laugh have added so much and she has become even more of a joy to watch...like lastnight after they beat down Charlotte Kairi added one more tiny kick in and it was the littlest but most enjoyable thing to me...and then she cackled after leaving camera shot it was perfect.
Unlike alot of others they clearly understand that when you change from good to evil and vice versa that EVERYTHING needs to change.
I should not be but gawd damn am I worried for sunday because this should not be the time for them to drop those tag titles...and especially not to charlotte and becky but I am worried they will and then they dissapear again because this f***ing company.

In addition to enjoying their heel work, I think it’s important to say how much ditching Paige benefitted them. Whatever the result on Sunday, I’m hopeful they’ll keep getting good airtime, they seem pretty comfortable giving 20 minutes a week to them and Charlotte/Becky.

Yeah, they didn't really need Paige managing them, like, if they had to have Paige manage someone, Sonya and Mandy were right there on the roster for her to manage. I think that TLC match between Charlotte and Becky against the Kabuki Warriors will be one of those matches that goes about 20 minutes, but is so balls to the walls action that it never drags and you don't realise how long it's actually been.

Brilliant team which has saved Kairis career, shes a natural heel which you wouldnt have thought before the turn and Asuka is best when shes evil. Hope they retain the titles and reign for a long time to come!

But yeh it has actually kept her relevant and popular,so it is definitely doing a good job of it

Asuka and Kairi have been awesome so far. I give them a lot of credit, but I could easily see them fall to the wayside after TLC, unfortunately.
Seems to me like they're building to Becky vs. Charlotte and Sasha vs. Bayley at Mania. I hope they give the women's division some love with a tag title match, but I don't know.

I love them, and absolutely love what Kairi has turned her gimmick into.
My main grievance is that there was no reasoning for it. Asuka turning heel should have been a HUGE deal. (And honestly should have happened at WM when she lost to Charlotte). Not just "show up and spit mist one week".
Not surprising WWE dropped the ball on it, but I think it could've been a much bigger deal. You could then have Asuka "corrupt" Kairi Sane to join her side and go from there.
It's sad that they had to do all of the work themselves to make it not seem awkward, and they'll be rewarded for it by disappearing after Sunday (probably).
I'd love for them to go back to NXT, and form a heel stable with Io that sees them push Io towards the title WM weekend.

I guess I’m in the minority but I miss Kairi’s yacht persona. I think it will be returning soon in time for Mania no less as everyone expects once they drop the titles Asuka is turning on Kairi. the dream and hope is the sky pirates win their respective titles Mania weekend...Kairi beats Asuka for the Raw and Io beats Rhea for the NXT womens title.

I'm hoping they stay together and heel, and can have some kind of demon ghost ship theme, bringing it all together.

I love that Asuka foreshadowed it months before in some video, saying that Great Muta was a big influence on her, and that if she couldn't foresee a win one of these days, she'd use the mist.
And what did she do when she turned heel? Exactly what she said she'd do, and why she said she'd do it.

I think asuka pins becky to start her going after becky's raw title and after taking the smackdown title from her at the rumble then pinning her here they can do a "can becky beat asuka?" story- which lets becky play the underdog role that started her current push to begin with. meanwhile charlotte can do her "been there, done that." thing concerning asuka, to keep her and becky at arms length from each other and let charlotte feud with kairi (who got the pin on her in the handicap match) because there are no women's tag teams to go after the titles as it stands (thus requiring the becky/charlotte team to begin with). and also, while I didn't find yacht enthusiast kairi very interesting, I find heel kairi to be adorably evil.

Heel Kairi amuses me a great deal. I know people think she's too cowardly, but I dunno, I think she makes it work. She always comes off as Asuka's dorky little sister and I love it.
The only problem with them as tag champs, and this is true for every team that has the titles, is there'd be nobody really left for them to face after TLC should they retain (which, sadly, I don't think they will). WWE really needs to add at least 4 or 5 more women tag teams.

I forget in a TLC match for a title is it even pinfall/submission or do they have to climb the ladder and pull the titles off the hook? I remember one recently with New Day where they won by pulling the belts off the hook. If it's pinfall/submission then I'm gussing Becky taps Kairi. Asuka already got her win over Becky when they had her pin her in a tag match last month in the lead up to Survivor Series so I don't see them doing that again although I guess I could be wrong. Kabuki Warriors losing the titles would also shore up Asuka to challenge for the singles title. A Becky and Asuka title feud with the latter still being a tag champion wouldn't work as you would know that that she wouldn't win as you know wouldn't have Asuka with two belts. Asuka with no belts going into that feud would make it more a lot more plausible that she could beat Becky.

I am in awe at how good Kairi Sane is as a heel, I love her. It goes to show when someone is so good under one alignment (in this case a face) and your totally shocked how good they are on the other side of the fence, it shows how awesome they really are all round.
I seiously hope they keep the titles on them at TLC, if they dont then it worries me we are heading down the path of Charlotte vs Becky again doing the champions that cant get along schtick and we just dont need that at all. I hear its going to lead to Asuka vs Becky at the Rumble which makes sense since Asuka beat Becky last year. Then I would likely imagine either Rosey or Shayna winning the RR and being Becky's opponent in a singles match.
