It doesn't look too bad. The powers that be must have a lot of faith in the show to move it to CW.
Now the question is what Earth will the show be set on? As we've already seen Stargirl on Earth-1 in Legends.

I know it's just the comic nerd in me, but it's so weird to just start with Stargirl to me when she's a double legacy character with powers completely derived from two other characters' stuff. Ignoring Star-spangled Kid and just mashing his outfit into Starman's in an effort to skip straight to the staff feels...wrong. (also lol after the last thread I posted in, it's another kid finds old iconic stuff from the franchise in their basement show)

I am so here for this. Geoff Johns Justice Society is one of my favorite comic runs of all time. Never thought in my wildest dreams I'd see a TV show for Stargirl of all people. <3

How have we gone so long without saying Luke Wilson is DC canon now?
Because that's an important part of this discussion.

I like the idea, but I feel like the Arrowverse is getting too big.
Next season we will have:
Flash Supergirl Superman and Lois Batwoman Legends Of Tomorrow Green Arrow and the Birds Of Prey Stargirl
Black Lightning also possibly exists in this universe.

This has got to be one of the biggest happy moments of Geoff Johns' life/career.
The character he created in tribute to his deceased younger sister Courtney (who died in the TWA Flight 800 explosion in 1996) has her own TV show.

Holy crap, we're getting Sportsmaster on television. I love comics. Also, I'm curious if we'll get Wildcat 1 cameos sometime.

Joel McHale is in this?! Nice!
Also, Stargirl is going to be in the post-Crisis Earth 2, so it won't be on the same Earth as the rest of the Arrowverse (which is now Earth Prime).

Holy Jebus! Pic is quite big so here's a link to the show's first look at a classic DC villain. i.redd.it/1egqif9o9zw41.jpg{Spoiler}Solomon Grundy!

I know nothing of this character but is there anything in this that will differentiate in any way from Supergirl?
I sense quasi-comical hijinks with the perky blonde hero with not so vague "girl power" overtones that will make it feel no different whatsoever and I am a DC fanboy.

I'll happily watch it as I love these shows but I hoped for something different.

I'll happily watch it as I love these shows but I hoped for something different. Stargirl looks to be more geared towards teens with a superhero in school kind of feel. Supergirl is a woman in adult world trying to get ahead in a professional and superhero world. Seems like it'll be different themes overall. Plus if it is Justice Society themed, looks like legacy will be a huge theme as well since that what Johns run on the comics were about.

Johns is deeply involved in the show - he's got a professional and *considerable* personal connection to Stargirl - so whatever's made her work in the comics has to be in the show.
