Announced in the annual Tokyo Sports award that Kazuchika Okada is the 2019 MVP and also won the Match of the Year award with Sanada at King of Pro Wrestling.
This marks the 4th time he's won it and the 6th year in a roll that he's won Match of The Year.
Kota Ibushi also won as well winning for Best Technique.

Mayu over Sareee is probably the worst though.

Sugiura may have had the best title reign in recent memory last year.

I do think Miyahara had a breakout year (especially some of the matches he had with KAI and Naoya Nomura), but I still feel Okada still has plenty of exciting bouts. His G1 matches with Ibushi and Archer and the MSG main event with Jay White were classics IMO, and I know some people rag on Okada/Jericho but I thought they had good chemistry together at Dominion.

Okada is probably one of my favorites of all time. But his big matches this year were all retreads. And i just find jay white to be extremely dragging.
Kento's matches have this do or die feeling.
Okada's losses this year were predictable. And so were his wins. But then that is gedo.
Sugiura has not only had workrate classics. Dude has found his inner heel really late in his career.
Daisuke Sekimoto also had a quieter year mostly because he has been in zero one. But the couple of tags strong bj have had were crazy good.
I really wish njpw was more open to doing guest spots. Because okabayashi and daisuke would be great.
I really want to see Kento vs Tanahashi because kento really feels like a young tana.

I like Okada a good deal, but I feel like he isn't versatile enough yet for me to think of him as being best of the best material. I want him to step outside of his comfort zone a bit more.
