That's right, it's Wednesday again and that means ONLY one thing... You have THE CHOICE. If you're reading this, get set for another installment of NXT, live as always from the Full Sail Arena and, as we approach the end of 2019, things are only getting hotter. Headlining our show tonight:
*#1 NXT Contender status is on the line tonight as Keith Lee and former champions Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa go head-to-head-to-head in triple threat competition. Lee is riding a limitless wave of momentum after a series of star-making performances over the last month and is on the cusp of basking in the ultimate glory, but first he has to deal with the Prince, re-invigorated and re-energised after his change in attitude, and the Psycho Killer, who as we've seen will do anything to get Goldie back around his waist. The winner tonight takes on the champion Adam Cole next week for all the marbles in the final NXT of the year!
*That championship may be up for grabs next week, but there will be one decided tonight, as NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush defends the purple prize in a rematch against challenger Angel Garza. Rush beat Garza a few weeks back in a thrilling bout, during which the Mexican lothario made an approach towards Rush's wife. This pushed the buttons of The Man Of The Hour, who would later give Garza the Rick James Special after a match with Isaiah Scott. Tensions and emotions are at a crescendo, who will capitalise on them tonight?
*A third match scheduled for tonight is a grudge match between former allies Mia Yim and Dakota Kai. The Kiwi Kicking Machine is on a harrowing mission of vengeance, having taken Yim out in a backstage assault a couple of weeks back that took her out of WarGames, before doing the same to former best friend Tegan Nox on the stage itself. But receipts are coming for that, as Yim proved last week when she and Rhea Ripley drew out Kai for an ambush of their own. Can The H.B.I.C. get her revenge on Kai? Or will the tormented New Zealander take another prize to go with Nox's shiny knee brace (and actually win a match)?
All that, and the pitch for Cameron Grimes's hat for "Best Newcomer of 2019", TONIGHT on NXT!
