Job losses.com does these articles/videos about troubled movie productions. I recently started watching these and I blasted through all of them. As well as the actor editions.
My personal favorites being the The Twilight Zone. I had no idea they killed a kid while filming it.
Does anyone else watch them? And are there other reputable videos of similar ilk? I don’t enjoy random non journalists posting opinion videos. And I can’t care less if a person enjoyed the film. The appeal to me is the truth behind the scenes of making the films.

They killed two kids. And Vic Morrow. In probably the most gruesome ways possible.

I knew about Vic. The kids being killed when they weren’t allowed out to shoot that late was news to me.

I remember reading about it and watching the footage like 12 years ago and to this day it makes me feel sick to my stomach. Whole thing.

That this wasn't punished yet his son is now persona non grata for #MeToo-related transgressions is messed up. I mean, the younger Landis too deserved to get what he got for what he did, but still, doesn't seem right that murder got nothing. But not the first time it happened, nor the last...

"There was absolutely no good aspect about this whole story. The tragedy, which I think about every day, had an enormous impact on my career, from which it may possibly never recover." - John Landis

If you like to watch movies implode, you need to watch "Lost in La Mancha". It is the story of Terry Gilliam's first attempt to film his movie "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" You get all the details of financing issues, budget constraints, fights with the actors, health issues with the cast, problems with the locations, weather delays, and more. The whole thing was such a shitshow that I'm surprised Terry didn't give up on the movie forever.

Wow. I knew Landis was a piece of shit, but that’s absolutely disgusting.

Let me be more clear, just in case his bastard son still lurks here - he laughs about getting away with it, not about them actually dying. Semantics, whatever. Clearing my ass legally on that one.

One thing is pretty clear about John Landis: He pretty much fought tooth and nail in the court cases (and pretty much overall, at the time) to try to wash any blame at all from himself for the incident. He didn't want to be liable criminally or financially or even "essentially" I guess you can say. It wasn't his fault, he would say at the time. (Although who knows whether he himself believed that or not, or that somehow he had convinced himself that he didn't do anything wrong. Or that he was just BSing everyone so that the courts wouldn't get him.)

The craziest thing to me was them actually leaving that segment in the movie.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote actually finally came out this year, with Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce starring. It was typical of late-era Gilliam, ie some good ideas shine through in a not-particularly great movie but he deserves a hearty pat on the back for finally seeing it made.
