Five Star Cody does it again. Okay it wasn't Cody but the crowd getting super behind QT that really sold the match, but man oh man was it fun. Luckily for Jericho,i'm not counting his humiliating defeat. It would have ran away with it anyway.

QT/Cody vs. Butcher/Blade was surprisingly good. I thought they'd go the route of QT deliberately sabotaging the match, but they booked him pretty well, where his defeat only came in because Butcher & Blade outnumbered him. So that was nice to see.

QT came off as a guy who was taking advantage of this opportunity and did his best even if he’s not the most composed guy which worked to his advantage against the crowd. He just became easily root-able which I NEVER expected.

Solid show. The ME was good. Marshall surprised me as Cody partner against Blade and The Butcher good match.

QT/Cody vs Butcher/Blade. Everyone came out of it looking good. Didnt expect much from the match beforehand either.

Loved the QT/Cody tag match but Omega and Sabian takes it for me, these two just have really great chemistry.

All the matches were great this week. It is difficult to pick just one. That said, I'll go with Big Swole vs. Emi Sakura because of the in-ring storytelling.

Just as a side note, it's amazing how much better QT looked by shaving all what was left of his hair off. Guys with blatantly obvious balding and receeding hair should really take note.
Edit - Oh I voted for the Cody/QT vs BBB match.

Nothing about QT/Cody v. BBB clicked for me except for QT really putting in the effort.
Definitely Omega v. Sabian
I've gotta say I love Luchasaurus as a character, but unless he just hasn't had a chance to show it yet I'm really not impressed with him as a wrestler. Even his kicks, which are impressive for his size, seem to be moving in slow motion at times.

If you wanna check his work he had some cool matches on LU.

I noticed his kicks were really slow, I chalked it up as to maybe he was rusty coming back from injury. But last night there were still slow and I'm just not impressed with him at all, the better wrestler did not win last night. Jungle boy on the other hand, I've been pleasantly surprised with him.

I chose Omega/Page vs Spears/Sabian.
I like spears in the mentor/scouting role. Penelope and Sabians act is starting to get over. A great distraction by Spears. Janela messing with Tully to get Spears out of the match.
Hangman’s focus on himself. Leaving Omega hanging with the double 5, and tagging in to get himself a pinfall victory. Omegas reactions to Page and in general. His act and catchphrases are starting to really catch on.
Lots of story telling, character work and good action.

Yeah, as much as I loved the first tag, AEW has a real knack of having matches that tell a lot of stories but never feel overwhelming. That triple threat from a few weeks ago of Spears/Allin/Avalon and the six man from Fight for the Fallen are great examples of this.

Omega vs. Sabian.
Adding Penelope to the act just makes Kip feel like a bigger star, and they play off each other well.
I'll be off practicing Sabian's "pose on the ropes" before he gets in the ring b/c dude's form is on point.
