So what is your favorite Married With Children bowling episodes. I think they are all great, but probably the second "Peggy Turns 300" is the best of them
I do find some inconsendency or bad continuity between "Alley Of The Dolls" and "Shoeless Al" in terms of Bud's bowling skills. "Alley of the Dolls" establishly that he knows how to bowl, yet in "Shoeless Al" he is a bad bowler and everyone knows it. What is up with that?

I went with Alley of the Dolls. I always liked seeing Bundy's untied against another family.

Different writers along with the passage of time, and also the show wasn't exactly known for having a lot of continuity to begin with. Sitcom writers follow the rule of "If it's funny, put it in" instead of "Does this plot point line up with something from a single episode 4 seasons ago?".

I mean, this is a medium where Chuck Cunningham was a thing, and we also have, for a non-sitcom example, Bones where the lead has a snake phobia, which in a later episode turns into her not minding snakes and mocking another character for being afraid of them. I think most series either have no show bible, or it's not given much reverence.

Shoeless Al for me, probably because I found some sequences funny. I also liked the show's different takes on "We are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You."

Shoeless Al.
Always preferred the later season episodes when things got crazy. The earlier “more real” episodes don’t make it for me.

I had forgotten all about this till now. OK so were those ALWAYS there? I remember vaguely seeing MWC in syndication and they played those sound like songs instead of the Queen songs clearly being ripped off. I kinda assumed that was just due to the networks not wanting pay to use those songs, but originally when it aired on FOX it had the real tracks. On a similar note I remember there was a good Beastie Boys knockoff in the episode where Al & Peg went away and the Rhodes family had to Babysit Bud and Kelly

I loved the callback with the bowling alley worker being one of Al's shoe store regulars and does a different spin on her catch phrase "You need shoes". Anyway it is interesting all these episodes take place in different eras, if you divide it with Marcy's marrage status. Three episode, one is a Steve episode, the other a Marcy is single episode, and the other is a Jefferson episode.

Was Alley of the Dolls the one when Al made a bet and if he lost, Peggy would have to pose in a pin picture?
