With him not having a match in almost a year, I think it’s safe to say he’s pretty much done. His last match was a fatal 4 way on raw, and his last mania/ppv match was him getting squashed. Do you think he will come back for one more run? Wwe has that 17th world title storyline in their back pocket which could be huge! Plus Cena deserves a big sendoff

Like...he probably will? But the problem is will it matter anymore?
They wasted the match with Roman, Braun beat him easily, he was a non-factor at the Survivor Series match he was in and there's really nobody intriguing enough for him to face.
Personally, the stuff he did with Samoa Joe in that SS match made me really want to see that so that's a match I'd like to see.

As time goes on though, I doubt that people will remember the last 2 years of Cena’s run over a decade of super Cena and thuganomics before that

A run? No. However, I do think he'll come back for a match or two every so often like The Rock does. I remember hearing an interview with him where he was saying that acting makes wrestling nearly impossible because if you get injured or get scars on your face or break your knows, you can push back production and you have hundreds of people working on the movie whose livelihood depend on you.

As I said before, dude gave A LOT to the company, arguably more so than any top guy before him, and he was basically made to look like shit for no real reason. Like, was there a good reason the Roman match wasn't saved for WrestleMania? Or the Undertaker feud where the audience had to believe nobody wanted to challenge John Cena to a match at WrestleMania? Like, as I said in the other thread, could you imagine Austin, Rock, Hogan, Bruno, Bret, Michaels etc getting that kind of treatment? No, because you want to use them later on for stuff and make people care about them. If Cena's last cameo wasn't even putting over anyone or having them involved with him...the f*** is he there for?

Does anyone really want him too? I mean when you look at the long termers from the newer generation, not only did they last much longer, but in the RAW and Smackdown era they were over saturated and faced every possible person there was to face as it was so its going to be much harder to miss them.
Cena was a regular from 2002-2017/18ish (thats over 15 years!)
Then looking at Austin & Rock's 6 years, Hogan & Savage's 9 years etc. etc.Its no where near as appealing to see a Cena nostalgia run.

I still want a heel Cena run. Hollywood Cena I honestly think a heel “corporate suck up” Cena with Vince by his side would be money. Give it about a year and then have somebody like Gargano or Balor finally beat him and become the new guy.

As I said in the other thread, I think he’s basically done. I still expect one more big Mania match, but I don’t think we ever see a true run again.
Dude managed to get a Hollywood career going, no point jeopardising that for a nostalgia WWE run. The Rock, the biggest actor in Hollywood, got his hand slapped for f***ing up production due to a wrestling injury. Cena doesn’t have anywhere near his stroke, him messing up production because of wrestling could seriously impact his career.

If he keeps the same entrance, yes, he'll run.

If Cena retires without beating Flair's championship record, it will be the biggest missed opportunity angle in wrestling since Undertaker/Sting

If they ever wanted to elevate Big E, a program with Cena would be interesting. Usually when Cena feuds with someone it's about their differences (the "indy wrestler vs sports entertainer") but in this case it would be more about their similarities (homegrown powerhouses known more for their charisma than workrate).

If nothing else, he'll probably run a final angle at Wrestlemania one year, then be inducted into the Hall Of Fame the following year.
