So there’s no way WCW was killing the white hot WWF in 2001, but for the sake of this let’s say they do. Everything is pretty much identical until March 2001 where Vince has a massive scandal, stock prices plummet, and he’s forced to sell to WCW of all places! WCW’s parent company doesn’t like them, but seeing this massive unexpected change in fortune decide to keep wrestling on the Turner stations.
How would things get booked?

Well for one thing, Bischoff would’ve humiliated Vince. Eric mentioned once that he didn’t took it personal when Vince had him humiliated in tv because if WCW won the war, he would’ve made Vince the cruiserweight champion and would’ve made him a comedy relief character.
I think the invasion would’ve been better because in comparison, the wwf contracts were cheaper and were strictly with the company not with USA, unlike the WCW guys being signed to Turner.

Also, I could see all the WWF guys getting huge pushes. Like how Hogan, Hall, and Nash came in and all were booked as huge stars. I’m wondering what guys don’t go. I could see The Rock maybe going into movies sooner.

I’m imagining Steiner being charged with assault after Triple H or HBK buried him.

Successful invasion either way would’ve required the guy in charge to bury his ego for the long term good.
So a loss either way.

Well in 2001 Russo was long gone from the company so this could’ve worked.

You know, it's weird... because I could see Bisch burying Vince, but treating the talent well.
Taker, Austin, and Rock would have been just fine. Taker would have become ABA a lot earlier, Austin would probably be the main face against NWO mach 43, and The Rock.. well, you can't deny The Rock's gift of gab.

Booker T, Stevie Ray, The Rock, Ron Simmons, Mark Henry and Ron Killings become the new Harlem Heat 2000. Then we have Ric Flair, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista(who becomes an ass kisser for The Sarge, and apologizes a thousand times for not listening) and Mark Jindrak as the New Horsemen. Bobby Lashley gets into a feud with Bob Sapp in an MMA rules style match, Undertaker and Kane feud with Sting and Vampiro, Chris Masters becomes the New Total Package as he defeats Luger and the old Total Package passes the torch and gives Masters his old NWA robe. Buff Bagwell still gets fired on July 9, 2001 for getting in fight with Sugar Shane Helms and the WWF stars that were bought, and Bischoff stands up to his mom and tells her to shut up. And in a shoot interview years later, Buff claims that Bischoff favored the WWF stars that came in that year, more than he did his own home grown talent.
