Again, it's kind of crazy that they pushed Taylor as hard as they did since he won the TV title yet seemed to have no intentions of keeping him. I thought he had a really good run with the belt, but this just seems super confusing.
Wonder what the story is with Colt, though; figure he's going to get to work NJPW more often, especially in the US branch, along with NWA, and maybe that's where he wants to be focused?

Remember seeing Shane at a VIP show where he wrestled ACH in the main event, it went into the crowd, and dude was super quick with the clap backs when people shouted things.
His weight loss is impressive, but dude is just not great as a wrestler. Keith Lee carried him when they were the PBK, maybe bring him in as a mouthpiece for someone?

Colt is still with ROH?! I thought he left ages ago? He was doing the WTL tour teaming with Yano.

Both guys were on the list Mercury put out of people ROH were not going to re-sign, so whatever decision was made, it was made a while ago. I know he said Shane found out with not a lot of warning he'd be gone by January first, and that was one of Joey's examples of Greg and ROH's disdain for the wrestlers. Not as sure with Colt, if the idea was that it'd always be a brief return or what. I know between ROH, NJPW, and NWA, he seemed to be trying a bit of everything, so maybe he never intended to make this fulltime for him.

AEW will be hounding Cabana like you wouldn’t believe. They love their Colts over there.
Wait, what do you mean with a “u”?

Not as sure with Colt, if the idea was that it'd always be a brief return or what. I know between ROH, NJPW, and NWA, he seemed to be trying a bit of everything, so maybe he never intended to make this fulltime for him. Yeah, I just read a tweet by Sean Sapp saying that people within ROH were telling him about a month ago that Taylor could well be TV champ through most of 2020...only for him to speak with Taylor a few days ago and hear straight from the man himself that he hadn't re-signed. On the surface, at least, this implies a major disconnect between management and booking: clearly Delirious saw a lot in Taylor and wanted to do more with him, otherwise there's no way he'd have had the TV title run he had nor the whole Shane Taylor Promotions gimmick, yet the Mercury tweets and this situation shows that management wasn't on the same page. Greg's whole "nobody's a draw!" nonsense really shows how far his head is up his own ass: the Elite became a draw for ROH because the Elite knew how to promote themselves and were kind of right place right time with BTE, but +90% of wrestlers need to be promoted by, y'know, the promotion they work for, you can't just throw people onto your one hour show that's on super weird hours in most markets and expect everyone to become stars via alchemy, you have to actually invest in these guys and make them visible beyond your show, something Sinclair seems unwilling to do. Whatever the case, I'm curious where Taylor goes from here given his improvements in 2020. There's a number of promotions that could do well with a bruiser, though it seems like most people discussing it feel like he'd fit well in Impact or MLW.

Hope to see Cabana on a big stage like AEW, I dunno if NWA prohibits that.

Hope to see Cabana on a big stage like AEW, I dunno if NWA prohibits that. NWA would be foolish to do that. Most other Indies and companies have let AEW stars have flexible deals so they can appear at and on other Indie cards. It would only give them more publicity, plus I think Cody's cool with them as seen in the past. Would love to see Cabana finally get some deserved National TV Time.
