Announced that All Elite Wrestling througout 2019 has sold over one hundred thousand tickets throughout its events including PPV and Dynamite tapings.
Averaging over 5500 per show and set to add more sold before the year ends looking to be 105,000
Not bad for a pissant company

That's probably a bigger tale of their success than TV views and youtube views, alongside merch and PPV sales. It's only going to be even bigger next year, considering how they only began TV in October.

By my math that averages to about 6,667 per show thus far. Not bad at all.

AEW is such an interesting case study. TNA had a much larger audience for years and could never convert those customers into PPV or ticket buyers at the level AEW has. Even after coming back down to earth, it still doesn't make that much sense.

Even after coming back down to earth, it still doesn't make that much sense. AEW didn't have literal strippers,Cheexx, garbage can gun-toting-Puppet (I think that was his name?) and Jeff Jarrett on the very first show. TNA salted the earth on day 1 for a lot of people

Even after coming back down to earth, it still doesn't make that much sense. AEW has someone competent running it, that's the difference. Some of the other difference is that AEW is built on a much healthier indy scene. TNA really did show up at the earliest possible moment after WCW folded, so everything outside of WWE was recovering from the many effects of the Monday Night Wars (themselves dealing with the aftereffects of the WWF's national expansion). AEW comes in at a time when many indies have been steadily drawing sustainable audiences (both in person and on DVD) for many years, and is filled with wrestlers who helped make that happen.

Imagine aew beating Nxt in attendance even if they were to lose to them in ratings. Or beat Nxt at merch. Imagine if its everything outside of ratings.
